After a long hard fight, Anna finally went to her mansion in the sky today. Please keep us in your prayers. We know she is better off, but it is still heartbreaking for us all. Just grateful that we could be there with her. After everything is settled, I will post about it, it was peaceful for her. Praise God! Just wanted to thank you all for supporting us through this.

Oh Natalie, I am so sorry for the loss for you and your family. You are a wonderful DIL, all the love and caring you gave your MIL. I am sure that Mark adores you for it. Take care and thoughts and prayers are with you.

Natalie, I know you are glad that she is at peace now, though it's still a loss to the family.  You deserve a great deal of praise for sticking by her through some really rough times.  I'm pleased that her passing was easy for her.  I'm sure Mark is broken up.  This will be a time of healing and adjustment for you all.  May God give you strength in the days ahead.

So sorry for you and marks lost ....at least she is at peace now and I know the next few days will be the hardest to your family . You are in my thoughts and prayers

Thanks everyone, visitation is tomorrow and funeral is Monday. It really seems empty without her here. I know she is much better off though.

I'm so sorry! But you were such a great daughter in law and you took such good care of her. That will give you and Mark both a lot of comfort in the upcoming months...Take care of yourself and I am thinking and praying for you!

Hi everyone, to say the least we have been hanging in, barely. I would love to tell you all how the funeral went, but I cant, I wasnt there. Wish I was. I got very sick that morning, thought it was just a stomach virus, so I stayed home, hesitantly, but now I am glad. AN hour after Mark walked in the door he was calling an ambulance for me. I couldnt breath and my heart felt like it was going to explode. I got admitted into ICU with what they thought was pneumonia, but we still dont know what happened. My kidneys qut working, my liver levels were all elevated and Anna's doctor told me it was in shock, due to lack of o2 and iron. I had to have 7 platelet transfusions. I was almost put on dialysis. Had to have a central line put in my leg b/c they couldnt in my neck. They did a lung biopsy but nothing came back, after 2 days of a really strong steroid I stared getting better. They say I ether am severely allergic to something or my body is attacking itself. So needless to say, I have lots of new doctors, lots of specialists and lots of tests coming up.. I am so scared because this can happen again and again until they find out what is wrong with me.

I have never got to mourn losing Anna. I miss her so much it kills me. Mark really hasnt had a big chance to mourn her either. I have so much guilt because I missed the funeral and couldnt be there for him. It has been horrible. Sorry there isnt much better to write. I did want to update you guys, I am just now getting enough strength to get on here. Will update you when I know something more

Natalie, you poor dear!  What a time for you to get really sick.  That's scary, happening so suddenly.  I wonder if it's autoimmune hepatitis?  You know, Dany is our resident expert on AIH and also other liver diseases that are uncommon.  I hope you get a definitive diagnosis soon.  From what you said, you haven't had a liver biopsy.  Once you feel stronger, that should probably be done.

Don't feel guilty about missing Anna's funeral.  You were very ill and needed immediate attention.  You had no control over that.

Hope you start feeling much better soon!

Omg sorry that you are so sick and missed annas funeral...that's life things happen when you least expect it . I hope the doctors figure out what's. Going on . My husband has a auto immune hemolytic anemia ....which his antibodies attack his good blood cells . Hopefully they can figure it out soon and you start feeling better ...you are in my thoughts and prayers

What on earth is going on. You held it together until Anna finsihed her journey and then whatever was going on inside you got quite a grip on you! What could this be?

Oh, I'm so sorry. Keep us posted on your progress. I hope it is just exhaustion or something simple.
