8 yr old daughter has symptoms....

yeah, i hope we are getting on the same page.  no, i didn't hear back from anyone and i'm about to try again this morning.  yes, the surgeon was awesome!  haha!!  wish they all were like that!  we see the pediatrician today so we'll see what he has to say.  connie, he isn't as bad as the pediatric gastroenterologist (he is the horrible one!!)  since we see the pediatrician this afternoon, if i don't hear from the jerks office, i'll push him to set up the biopsy.  i don't know....i'm already thinking that if these doctors don't do what they are supposed to, i may move back to san diego and take her to children's hospital.  my daughter said something so sad this morning on the way to the bus stop...she told her brothers that she may die soon.  i have never even told anyone anything like that so she could not have heard something like that!!  it scares me to think she may feel that way...i mean i don't know    she feels so sick every night.  her tests look better, not perfect but better.  but they are not entirely indicative of what has been/is going on.  she really felt sick last night.  she went to a friends after school yesterday and i think she played too hard...what do i do?

just wanted to give you an update..we saw the pediatric gi again (yes, the bad one! lol).  anyway, i had to see him one more time after i got the rest of her labs before i got a referral to someone else but he did jump onboard with everyone about getting her the biopsy...and he did say that it should pretty much confirm the type 2 dx.  hopefully, we wont see any cirrhosis so im just praying...he said it would be rare to see a normal biopsy but in that case they would have to look deeper and consider things like malignancy since everything else has been ruled out.

no.  her appt was thursday afternoon.  the scheduler called the hospital and left a message with the scheduler there...was waiting for a call back and i guess they have to coordinate with the pediatric gi too...the radiologist will do it but the gi will be there too.  i guess it takes place in the pediatric ICU and there is a bit of coordinating to do.  she may have to stay the night since we live about an hour from the hospital.

I saw your post on FB.  Glad to hear they are finally scheduling her biopsy.  I understand being scared about it but don't be.  She should know that a lot of people have them and it sounds like they'll be doing it right with the radiologist.  It is best to have it guided by radiology to make sure they go exactly where they expect to go for the sample.  I also think it'll be better for her (and you) to stay in the hospital overnight.  You won't worry as much about her inadvertently moving and causing it to twinge at all.  She'll stay more still just going straight to the hospital room and getting spoiled (I'm sure you'll have some treats in there for her ) and she'll have round the clock medical care...so yay!  Well, you said "may" so I'm sure she'll be just as fine going home and getting spoiled by all her brothers too!  I think they'll have her stay still for a few hours before the drive home if she doesn't spend the night. 

I am very happy all the docs are finally on the same page!
