finally .....transplant tonight :)

Liver is arriving at ten tonight ..they are starting to do prep ..blood work ..ekg...chest xray...as I'm typing this nurse came and said that the liver is coming at 5:30 am now and he. Will go to surgery at 7.....I so hate this roller coaster ride

Hang tough, Elle! I hope this liver is a good match for him and that the transplant will have been accomplished by tomorrow evening. Don't freak out about how he looks immediate after transplant. He will have tubes coming out of everywhere and be on a ventilator.

He's been so critical so I've seen him like that twice in the past months so I'm kinda prepared for that .....thanks hanging

The waiting is almost over Elle. You got this far, only a little while more. Just know that there are lot's of internet friends praying for a successful transplant.

Elle,

  Hey, wonderful to hear the liver is on it's way.  I image it with wings and a smile cool ..happy to live on helping your hubby live a more normal life.  I am lighting my "new liver good luck" candle tonight for you guys.  May all go smoothly and we are sending strength to that transplant team and you both.

Thanks guys .....special thanks angie I was gonna ask you to light a candle ...but u already beat me to it .......just got his night meds and a bag of platelets and we will try to get some rest because tomorrow will be a. Long day

They will be coming to get al in a hour........its finally here yippee....I'm happy but scared at the same time ..i will keep you guys posted

By now the surgery has begun!! :) Here praying all is going well for your husband, and that you got some rest too!! I can't wait to hear how it all went, and I'm sure you are on pins and needles waiting your self!!

They took him at 6
7:30 and got him ready and started at 9:30 ....they said they would come speak to me when half way done ........must be getting close to half way

I know you must be on pins and needles, Elle.  Praying there will be no serious problems during or after surgery.
