Had a call just a bit ago from Bill, Connie's caregiver and long time friend.

She had the surgery, is in ICU at Mayo and is UP AND AROUND!!!!

They will decide this morning whether and when to move her to the Transplant Floor!  Maybe even today.

Amazing.

He says she isn't ready to receive calls.

Hooray.  Woo Hoo.  And Thanks to her Higher Power.

No one deserves this more than Connie. How many people has she helped on HW? Now she has a new liver and has rid herself of cancer. It was her turn to win.

Happy to hear she got the liver and is on the road to recovery...this is great news!!

turn  Connie was always there to answer any question I had about ESLD and Hep C. This act of God could not happen to a better person. Hope she stays strong to recover quickly. BostonMike.

Connie-I agree with all the other well wishes. You have been here for everyone that comes to the forum. Praying daily for you for a quick and easy recovery.

Great news for Connie! I'll be praying for her to have a speedy recovery and for the family who unselfishly gave her such a precious gift and are no doubt in turmoil, but I pray for God's peace to surround them all this evening..much love, to you Connie..God bless! Sandra

Wonderful news!  Great news!  So very happy to know everything went well!  Dean's process would have been so much harder had it not been for Connie and this board.  Now it's her turn to get a new lease on life.  Prayers for strength and a speedy recovery!

Wow, what great news to read. Folks, I am sorry that I have not been on line the last couple of days. Had some personal issues to get straightened out.
I am actually speechless also.......kind of dream like.

Connie, when you read this.....you'll probably be home recuperating. Just know that there is no one more deserving than you to receive such a wonderful gift.
And like others said you are no sissy by any means. You've proven that time and time again.

We all will be praying for a speedy recovery with no complications......

  We definately are lighting a candle for you tonight!!  I think vanilla would be good tonight.  We will leave our candle burning all night for you.  I know you can't have them in the hospital.  We are sending best thoughts from the Heartland!!  May that liver feel right at home.
