AIH and gallbladderproblems?

Well update on me. I saw Rheum yesterday and I don't have AIH. He said I am such a complicated case because of the severe trauma I suffered with the surgery in June and the malnutrition and now I am 100% symptomatic for Lupus but only 1/2 with blood results. Because of that he is going to treat me for what he is calling mild Lupus. I am not on Plaquenil and Prednizone. Prednizone is not my friend because of Gastric Bypass it usually makes me a little sick but I don't care I will try anything My pain in the joints is spreading to different joints and with a vengence I might add, My hair is going at an alarming rate my mouther issue is unbelievable and my profession is talking just about nonstop. I don't know jack about Plaquenil but I don't care I am going to give it all a try. I heard the Plaquenil should help with the fatigue, hairloss and pain, I only hope so. Also my sorry pcp put me on Adderrall some time ago to help with the fatigue and foggy disorientation which helps but now tht I have gotten so sick it isn't enough so I am working now for a very prominate internist so I am going to see him in the next week and we are talking nuvigil it should do the trick. This to, I have aih and severe nash and all kinds of gi problems, they say not crohns but my mom has it, lots of bloating and gi trouble. I have found that eggs and fatty foods cause more bloating and pain in me. They said I did not have gallstones, but when I started meds, I passed black/brown kitty litter type stones that may have been from my bile ducts of my liver. I am on ursodiol, that is when that happened and it does seem to help. Dietary changes have helped as has the addition of good quality greek yogurt zero fat I sweeten it myself as I have diabetes. It seems to be a combination of things with me due to inability to metabolize a few different food types, like carbs and now fats, properly and I have restrictions like interstitial cystitis due to bladder problems and sugars and diverticulosis irritating foods. My diet is pretty restricted now. Also, I sometimes don't digest food at all which my gi doc says may be due to a lack of pancreatic enzymes, so I take those too, I am told a lack of pancreatic enzymes is common in ai disease by them. We have pancreatic cancer in my family too. The greek yogurt, enzymes, and restriction of fatty foods has seemed to helped the problem. They didn't see stones in my but my doc told me if medicare would approve, my gallbladder would already be gone.

Sometimes I think the meds, or the illness just trashes the gi tract, upper and lower, and anything I can do to "baby" things pays off for me. I eat bland, lowfat, soups, easy to digest food. I can't tolerate probiotics, but the yogurt works and gives me some nutrition when I don't feel like eating. Sometimes I do the brat diet for part of a day to see what food is doing it to me. Mostly the upper pain seems to be bloat and gas and not liver or gallbladder, though it feels like something worse. If it goes away when I go on a bland really low fat diet, I know that is the problem.

I hope you feel better. I just feel like a fish that swallowed a hook and is being drug around by it most of the time. Its just the "new me" ;) but I do have good days once in a while. I take Questran occasionally, and it helps sometimes, as does stuff like calcium and mylanta. I learned the hard way that on urso, the questran can be way too binding.

Not surprised you got another Autoimmune disease. I have three. I have also got problems with my thyroid but it doesn´t affect the hormone levels at all, it just grows. operated the left sida in 00 but have to do the other as well soon because it grows as well.

Fatigue is the closes follower of all autoimmun diseases not always easy to distinguish from wich one you get it.

As my crohn is better ve been able to start exercising again and my fogginess is better as well-
