advise about my liver

can you advise me please.6yrs ago i had hepatitis through binge drinking heavily at night for 5 yrs,i got over it ok and had a littleboy too since.this past yr i havnt felt well,constant side pain near my liver and around the back,diarrhea and lung pain,generally feeling ill.In the past yr ive had all blood work and liver bloods done they are normal,2 scans 6months apart,he says no liver damage its all normal,ive had colonosocopy and endoscopy as i was so sick but biopsies all normal,ive had pancreas checked scan and bloods all normal and as i had pleurisy ive had my lungs checked too no fluid.IM worried sick its still my liver,oh by the way i havnt drunk a drop since that time 5yrs ago and never will again.I stilli feel poorly very tired,drained and i still have a sharp pain in my right side that feels like a hot poker stabbing me 24hrs a day,my doc says it may be pleurisy scarring im not sure as it seems like my liver,my docs think im mad.can i just ask could it still be my liver or pain there due to scarring or disease even though they all say its normal,i was reffered to the hospital the docs there also say all normal,i just feel slightly built up with fluid too around my side and lungs,scans say not.am i right to be worried or am i going mad,i just feel so ill.thankyou any suggestions would be great

Hessy44, welcome to the forum. My gut feeling is that you don't have liver disease since you quit drinking 5 years ago, IF that was the only reason for your liver inflammation back then. While something may be going on, I doubt it's your liver. Have you been exposed to viral hepatitis? If not, you have so many symptoms that point to something different (gall bladder, gluten intolerance, etc. For your own peace of mind and a possible true diagnosis, see a GI doc and maybe a hepatologist, too.

reply to boston mike,hi re gallstones well actually im my only family member that hasnt had my gallbladder out, out of 14 women aunts sisters etc so it was on my mind and also that my sisters wasnt found either for yrs as it was sludge not stones,yes i have bloating like water around my side and under my arm but i have a stabbing pain too,i thought the bloating might be causing the pleurisy stabbing pain,usually pleurisy is caused by another underlying factor,thats why i thought of my liver and water ascitis but gallbladder i suppose it could be maybe not stones maybe it just doesnt empty properly and i need a hida scan,thanks to all i will go back to the docs and try and sort it all out,many thanks boston mike can i ask do you constantly have pleurisy now and ascitis and can you live with it ok or are you on meds,will it ever go away

i had to smile at the breast reduction bit as one of my docs said i wonder if the pain was that my bra was too tight,bra or not im in pain 24 hrs a day,some silly docs out there,i do recall when my dad died of cancer,for 2 yrs the docs said he had everything from gastritis to a bronchitis,he never smoked but still died of lung cancer,when they found out he had just 8 weeks to live and that was after many scans.thankyou to all thats replied
