Well, as of the 27th of this month. I spent this week at Mayo, mostly in Radiology, having all manner of scans, tests, and consults. I got results today. The good news is that there is no sign of cancer anywhere in my body and my liver is working well. Bad news is that I have a new L-3 spine compression fracture (maybe when I fell getting out of a car a few weeks ago), and they will do an additional MRI focusing on that area. They also want to do some other tests to see why the hematoma of my rt. shin is not healing. I will write a more detailed update to my blog as soon as I can get some rest. I'm totally worn out.

Hi Connie,
I'm really sorry to hear of these continuing problems. The good thing is that your liver functions are good, too bad your quality of life is hampered by peripheral problems. I hope the docs take care of the shin and back. Sometimes little things become the big things and that seems to be what's happening to you. Everyone here is behind you; hang in there.

Connie - I'm so sorry to hear about these issues. You are such a trooper. I know you will get through it. Try to rest and take care of yourself.

Thanks, guys! I have no pain in my back, but of course I've been on strong pain meds since my last surgery on March 14th. I had tremendous mid-back pain right after transplant and it was thought that the rib spreader may have caused a compression fracture, but a CT showed there was none. In about a month, the pain resolved.
