Mom's sick - need lots of advice, Pt. 2

Just wanted to give a update on my mom. She is doing so much better. The medicine is really making a different for her. So far so good. Thank you for all your advice. I knew what questions to ask from reading here. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thanks Connie. In the beginning of June my son broke his neck diving into a swimming pool at my mother's house. Thankfully he has made a full recovery after 6 weeks in a brace. I had to take FML to care for him and that gave me lots of time to spend at home with him and my mom.

She has made a complete turn around since then. She isn't in bed all day, she has been going places and is just a much happier person. We even spent the day at the beach! She doesn't remember her visit with the hepatologist. Today she is going for a follow up with the hep doctor and I can't wait to hear what they have to say about how well she is doing.

I really appreciate all the help and advice that I received here. I truly believe that if I didn't have the information you all gave me that my mom would still be in the same condition as when I first joined here.

Yes it was crazy. Words can't explain what I felt. They air lifted him to CHOP from down the shore two hours away. It was scary but thankfully all is good.

My mom is still doing well. Her doctor was amazed at how well she looked. Things are still doing well with her as long as she takes her lactalose and doesn't smoke. She did smoke when my son had his accident and she was sick for a week after. I think she now knows she can't smoke. She did great until his accident. She didn't smoke for six months. She is smoke free again. She said she doesn't even want a drink and that quitting smoking is much harder.

So for the moment all is well in my world and I am very grateful for that! Thank you again for all your help and others here.
