Hello, I would like to introduce myself to this area, as I have 18 yrs. of Medical Records that would span this world at least twice. I have been on so many different medications, seen countless specialist, I could start my own Hospital Yellow Pages book, due to the numerous stays, spanning from New England,Florida, and back to New England again. My first stay in a hospital was in Sept.1994, for Colitis, (they thought) that stay lasted until after Easter in April. I was in and out of Hospitals for Months, and Months,I was spending so much time in the hospitals, that I would see a CNA/LNA start on their first day training, and years later end up being my RN! Fast forward to Christmas 1999, I was alone and very sick, I thought I had some terrible Flu. My eyes were a beautiful Neon Yellow, my skin was a dull yellow, my pee looked like brewed tea, my BM's looked like gray clay,I could not lift my arms to brush my hair, even if I wanted to it was not happening. I was house sitting for a friend that was not coming back for two more days, so I laid down for a nap, and awoke to my friend throwing me into his car. I must have been a site to see? In the ER I overheard the Dr. telling my friend;"Take her home and let me know when she passes." To everyones surprise, especially the Dr. I did Not Die.,But was on Lamivudine 4xs a day and basically a coma for 7 months. Recovery time was 18 months.
2006-08 I was severely ill again, with all kinds of Dr.s not knowing what to do with me 105 fevers that they could not control, even with the Ice packings and fans, every antibiotic,I had so many pumps, Picc., Ivs,everywhere, I looked like a friggen Christmas tree. I had to be shipped to Tampa General, to see what their Diagnoses would be??? Problem child they said to me. After hundreds of Transfusions,Ct.scans,colonoscopies,endoscopies,etc..... they finally had it," Crohns Disease!"
Some time in between stays in the hospitals after the Crohns news, My intestines Blew-out, I started hemorrhaging Blood Clots out my Vah-JJ the size of grapefruits!! Into Emerg. Surgery,( where I was told later that they had lost me a couple of times ) I do not know where I went those two times? I woke up in ISCU. incubated, and stoned out of my mind..!!!! When I was coherent, the Surgeon told me I was the Proud Mother of a New,"ILIEOSTOMY" Familiar Poloptosis is the new Diagnosis??
2012 They just revised my Illy and took more intestines. I also have Factor 5lydon,(blood clotting disorder) a de-generative bone disease(to long to remember) Asthma, depression, anxiety, and ptsd.
Now you kind of know,"KOVERTKATIE". One more thing, the friend that helped me earlier in the story, we became Partners, he took care of me the whole time after 2000, while I was in the Hospital getting my new Illy, he Passed away from, Small Cell Lung Carcinoma. He was 57, and his Name was;"ALAN" God Bless All Of Us, and Those Who Took/Take Care Of Us In NEED....!!!!!!XOXO
