Wrong. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't care how quickly I will get cirrhosis.

Dying from ESLD is not easy... your child deserves better.... your rationalizations may cost you your life eventually... you are holding your life in your hands... AA can help you.. there are programs to help you detox.. grow up.. lay aside the alcohol... if you are already showing symptoms... time will take its toll eventually.. regardless get to a hepatologist and quit diagnosing yourself... only tests can tell the truth... your child deserves better... I hope you see a liver specialist and get help...this will bite you... and will not go away .. and no you can't escape it by drinking... sobriety is your only chance.. Young man , You have a problem far deeper than just alcohol . You made a decision when laid down with your partner to have unprotected sex and as a result you have a child , Your lack of concern for anyone including her is obvious by your own accounts . In my opinion you are openly admitting neglect of a child . It's your plan to do what with this time your trying to buy or figure out how much of it you have ? Will you use it productively ? Doubtful at best judging by your demeanor here . Your obvious goal seems to be inflicting pain on yourself or others ( Not excluding your own flesh and blood ) . Maybe , Just maybe someone will wake up , See you for who you are and remove that child from your custody before any further harm is done . Try telling that gallant , noble crap you spew about " How much you care " to someone other than a child .

You claim to be a male , Act like one and grow a set .

Nobody can remove my daughter from my custody. You can do it for treating the child badly or can't take care of it successfully but nobody can do it because I'm alcoholic. In fact, I used to be much more of a "bad guy" before that child came. I really don't know what was the best time for me. The time when I was drunk and had no pains no nausea and no concern for my health and just beat up everyone who didn't like me or when I was drunk again, holding my daughter, with all this concern about being tortured to death from cirrhosis. By the way, the child didn't come accidently. I thought I would be healthy until she grows up, since I'm too young to have cirrhosis.

Anyway, I will see a doctor.

1. No discussion of any illegal activity or threats of violence (ie. illicit drugs, including medical marijuana, threats of suicide, self-injury, or physical harm). Discussions of suicide and self-harm are not permitted.

 I'm no attorney but what you are intentionally saying equates to severe mental abuse being inflicted upon your child . You are mentally disturbed and hopefully your ISP identification has been tracked . Maybe they wont take this matter lightly .

This whole thread is very disturbing. I'm hoping that Normann is just the kind of guy that likes to push people's buttons and is getting a chuckle at all of our expenses. If not??? The alternative is very very disturbing. Normann, please talk to a professional before you damage everyone around you.

Oh yes they can. You can't possibly raise a child properly as a drunk. If you don't think that you're abusing your daughter, think again. As a drunkard you are abusing her, just by being in the same space. I find your thoughts and behavior disgusting. If you want to drink 'til you die, that's your life, but don't hang around and poison hers. The only redeeming thing about this, is that your daughter might learn from your drunkenness not to drink to excess when she grows up. If you love her, move away and let your daughter grow up without watching a bad example as a role model.

This forum is for exchanging experirences, sharing treatement options, and expressing feelings about  dealing with liver diseases.

It is not a forum about alcoholism, though use of alcohol is often a culprit in exacerbating various liver diesease.

Rather than deleting this entire post, I'm going to lock it at this point.

Many folks here have suffered the terrible consequences of continued alcohol use or are the loved ones who find themselves caregivers or widows/widowers of those affected by terminal liver disease.
