York Puds are made self raising flour 1/4 cup of milk& water 1 egg a pinch of salt, mix together gradually pour into a hot tray based with little oil you can make small individual ones or a large one small are better cook in very hot oven around 40 mins try not to open door as they will not rise.( google traditional yorkshire puddings). Rick as you know alcohol acts as a preservative watch out for your hind she'll have it well truly cooked, yum yum!! We tend to eat out alot too. I go to Jacksonville Alabama quite a lot, family live there. I find they eat lots o maccaorini, grits, red meat burgers etc.yuk yuk yuk. I really only go for the sunshine& somewhere free to stay!. Back down to earth now. Just got back from seeing my MIL not been awake now since Sunday morphine injections and one for secretions in her throat, waiting for my mobile to ring anytime now, Iam heartbroken watching my girls see their nan like this they lost their dad die at 50 through alcohol 14 years ago, their G/dad had a massive heart attack the year after, I have put them a terrible time with my addiction, and now this is. Why do we always take stock of our selfish ways after what we put our loved through. My thought today if that something doesn't kill you, it will only make you stronger. Thanx for letting me bend you ear oh that remind me jusy going to give my dog a pig's ear to chew on, another one to watch out for Rick!!

P.S. I went on Alzhiemers threads to get some knowledge regarding MIL, just gonna check in there to see if anything is there for me to read.

 David , Liver disease makes my hearing malfunction . My wife says it's some kind of " Selective " hearing disorder ( Hearing what I want to hear ) , It's actually gotten worse and has effected my reading also . Pig feet in ears , Eye's closed and Humming " We all live in a yellow submarine " seems to be associated with this new development . It oddly started about the time I got married and has progressively gotten worse since you started referring to my succulent morsels . NO RIBS FOR YOU !!!

 Sue , Why waste a good pig ear on a dog ? I hear we make great purses .
