Well the doctor suspects NASH with beginning cirrhosis and possibly autoimmune arthritis.  He said my final tests only showed 1 positive for autoimmune problems and that many women have that result without being autoimmune.  He also said my liver function was fine.

He said that continuing to lose weight would help slow the progression.  He asked about weight loss surgery but my insurance will not cover it.

Next week he is going to schedule a biopsy.

Marburg, thanks for the update. It seems there are other tests for autoimmune diseases. Check out some of Dany's posts about testing by using the search feature in the blue bar above. A biopsy will be more definitive, so it's good that you will be having that done.

This forum may very well save my life.  I am reading everything I can here.  I was feeling so lost and hopeless until coming here.

Just remember it's a marathon not a sprint.. and you're gonna need some energy down the road.. and worrying about things you can't change just burns up available energy...
