CS, just wanted to say that your husband (and of course, you) are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry that you are going through this. I was also sorry to hear of your difficulties with Hospice. Like Connie said, it must be that Hospices are run differently in different areas. We had a wonderful experience with them when they helped with my Dad. A couple of times we had small issues - we called the main office, and everything was taken care of. If you have a free moment, please call them - I really think they will do everything they can to make the necessary changes/improvements. I honestly believe that they strive to do what they were created to do, so please give them a chance to make things better - for your sake. Because a good Hospice experience will make this journey so much 'easier' (for lack of a better word) for you and your husband (and your family). I did have to smile a little when you said something about
being able to get medication quicker while in the hospital - my fiance is in the hospital right now and just had to wait almost 2 hours for his pain meds!
You are in my thoughts.....
