It's been a while since either of us have updated, so here goes:
Good news is, our brother finally got disability and Medicaid :) A couple weeks ago, he had fluid around his right lung. They were going to put a stint in, but his blood was too thin. They gave him Vitamin K to try to thicken it up. Mom said when they tried to do a surgical procedure (I'm assuming the stint), they found that his veins were too small. They told my mom instead of doing home health care, hospice was the right choice. The doctor said he has less than six months to live. The dr. also said he could drink an alcoholic drink if he wants, and put him on hydrocodone. Basically, there's nothing left to do for him. He can get drained still because that makes him comfortable, but that's it. He's been home almost a week now, and all he does is sleep. He hasn't eaten in three days. He's going downhill so fast, I believe it will only be a matter of weeks before he's gone. So sad that he's only 29 and most likely won't make it to his 30th birthday in January.
