Rest now, Connie.  Know that you have been a great source of comfort and inspiration to us all. You will be greeted in heaven as a good and faithful servant.  I pray your family and friends receive comfort and peace in this difficult time.  You will never be forgotten but always missed.

Thank you, Connie.  For all your encouragement.  For your simple wisdom.  For your single minded perseverance in times of trouble.  For seeking out those who were hurting and letting them know they were not alone.

I am one whose life is forever changed by your help on this forum.  Were it not for you and others like David and Ziffle and MamaLama and Mae be Here, I would never have had the courage to try and live alone while fighting HE and Hep C.  My courage comes directly from this forum, without it I would be adrift in a sea of faces who do not understand.

Yes I realize I'm speaking as though she were still here.  That's because I believe she will always be with us as her spirit lives on in the lives she has changed.

Yes, just rest now, Connie.  Let the angels minister to your soul as you ministered to the weak.  May God Bless You and Your Family ... and give great peace.

My love to all of you who knew her personally and who had more time with her ... my deepest sympathies.  A very sad day.

I didn't know it was a poem, but along the same vein, my Mom often said, "don't go to my grave, I won't be there". She never visited her own mother's grave, and I understand why. Love to see more from Sigrid, thanks for sharing.

Always loved Connie's quote, too, so fitting for her :)

I find it hard to find the right words to say .I have been trying to write something since last night. Connie has helped me in so many ways over the past year. My husband would have something wrong and ask me if I asked the group he would say well what did "Hep" say to do. I smile at the thought. We all have our stories to tell that make us smile from a thought of Connie.one of Mine is getting Edited every time I wrote on the forum. She was a Awesome, selfless, lady. I will try and smile when I think of Our "Hep 93" Connie as she will always be here with us.

One of the moderators from another forum suggested we set up a thread for Connie's family...to receive notes from our members. I talked to her sister last night while she was on HW. She was so moved that so many people cared about Connie.

So I'll call it...Messages to Connie's Family.

I've thought all day on what I could say...I'm just sad. She fought a tough fight as she was the toughest cookie out there. After her friend passed early this year when he had finally decided he didn't want to do it anymore, she told me "I'll reach my "enough" stage at some point." With all she had been through, I still don't think she reached it. She was so strong-willed that she had more fight in her than her body did. She was a strong, caring woman and will be missed by all the lives she touched.
I, as Carol, had the opportunity to meet her a couple of years ago but at the last minute, plans changed and we didn't drive all the way up when we were visiting in Daytona Beach. I have regretted it since that day as I know how short life is...
My condolences to her family and her extended HW family.
