pain in upper rt abd

Hi butterfly422

Hubby was up half the night with major pain In upper Rt abd. We were headed to ER
When the pain begins to Ease up so he wanted to return home. Any idea what it could be with ESLD?

HE is resting now...

So many trips to ER prior to Transplant. Mike often had pancreatitis, but the pain was on the other side. Fever 101, pain that won't resolve or bleeding from mouth, nose or rectum that doesn't quickly resolve, or sleep from which he cannot be roused to drink every so often crazy HE are ER emergencies. Use your best judgment...lots of stuff is ESLD!

Does he still have a Gall Bladder? My husband had this happen 2 years ago, and now has no GB. Just a thought.

Yes he has GB... I bet that is it!! As
I was looking online and they kept saying that as well..

Post TP, no gall bladder...the old one goes and the new one comes without!

I have had gall bladder pain and lost mine years ago. Pain for me was mid chest from front to back as if someone was putting a spear through me. Pain was worst lying down, and relieved if I hung my arms across the top of something high, like a breakfast bar and bent a tiny bit forward.

They could check that out easily enough with an US at the ER.
