confused by bilirubin

I clearly have yellow hands and varying tints on body at times along with scalera.

How can my bili scores never be as high as allegedly jaundice appears at (approx 2.5) I've always had my bilirubins taken in the morning. Could this be it? that it builds through the day? I was convinced that my 3 hour fast test would be much higher as I ate a HUGE breakfast 3 hours prior to the test.

I'm going to ask doctor where I can get an evening blood test if at all possible.

The nurse last time told me that the 1.2s were likely because of my fasts (the high direct in october was recently after a large medicine time period)

Also poop is light brown/tan a lot, sometimes yellow, quite regularly green.

Bilirubin tends to be high if you fast, my doctor actually has me eat a small meal before I come in. It has to be low fat, but he says bilirubin will rise if you fast for more than 8 hours.

There are other issues that can cause yellowing of skin. Are you sure it is not the light that you are using to look? I know I have some yellow bulbs that are very easy on the eyes but they make everyone look like they have a yellow tent.
