I had some issues the past month or so with my vision and very dry eyes and what seemed like spots on my eyes at times though I have perfect vision so I went to the optometrist and was told my eyes are drying out in 2 seconds and should be drying out in about
10 seconds.
The solution was to use eye drops 4 times per day for now until I am finished treatment using Sovaldi and Ribavirin.

MamaMama, in regards to expensive glasses I can offer a solution you might consider in the future. My wife has worn glasses all here life and the last couple of years she has ordered all sorts of glasses here
http://www.zennioptical.com/
All she needed to get her glasses from this place was her "PD measurement" or Pupillary Distance measurement and most optometrist will provide it for $30-50 however they dislike that you are asking for it because they realize you will then go buy your glasses cheaper elsewhere.
Also, my wife told me her optometrist told her not to trust these online sellers however another one told her the opposite and said as long as they are using the correct PD measurement when making the glasses they will be fine the only difference is instead of paying $400-$800 for a pair of glasses you will get them for maybe $40-$60 with every option.
My wife has her's made with transition lenses so when she goes outside they automatically tint and every pair she has bought I think look great and they all come with free cases also, some of them she has ordered are EXACTLY the same as the ones at the old eyeglass store she used to buy from because after they came we went back to the store and acted like we were browsing and compared a couple of pairs and the only difference was $400 in price
Don't get ripped off on glasses, get your PD measurement for Mike and buy him a couple of pairs and you will be totally impressed with the quality and selection the have and don't let the optometrist try to scare you from buying from them as my wife has worn glasses all her life and has dealt with Zenni Optical for at least two years now and she says the glasses perform exactly the same as the others she owned and her checkups the last two years her eyes remain the same as they always have.
Eye glasses are severely marked up and if I ever need glasses I will buy them from Zenni, my wife has probably 20 pairs from them now all with transition lenses and in so many styles and colors its getting as bad as her shoe collection
