Hi all
got "THE CALL" yesterday went to the hospital waited for 8 hrs .to hear ..We are sorry the surgeon does not like the liver....My reply was ..im not leaving till you feed me .lol.....This is the 2nd time so i was not really taken aback by the news..I met a man in socal that had 9 dry runs..he was still chipper thank you friend..anyway in the meantime I donated my liver to science for them to study .felt good about that..otherwise all is well and im just checkin in

Great to hear from you! It won't be long now. Can you imagine getting the call 9 times?? Going for you third, huh? Third time will be the charm ;)

Is your MELD still 26? Do you feel sick?.... because you sound wonderful. Big Hugs

Waitin, bummer...but you sound really optimistic. I bet you can get to that center quickly wiht these dry runs.

we create our own suffering and i refuse to have my peace bubble shaken........I am a practicing Buddhist minister and try for the most part to be in the moment..thats not to say i dont get depressed or mad at times i am more human then Buddhist.lol
third times a charm ya say ? ok third time is good for me
cause id love to get back to my little ranch my wife and my dogs...

If your surgeon didn't like the liver, it's likely your body wouldn't either. You'll get there...

Getting the call is good I would think as it means your top the list. David is right, if the doc did not like then your body probably would not either.

You seem pretty healthy for a MELD of 26, which is good. Also a great attitude which I firmly believe correlates to health.

I hope you get the call soon.

Love your outlook. Yeah ... wait for a better liver ... am thankful for your post since I read disturbing posts some time ago on another site about what is considered good enough ... this proves that info was off base. So much misinformation out there!!! Hope the right one comes soon for you. Have great respect for your beliefs. Inspiring to be so strong under these circumstances!!!!! Awesome ... believing the best for you.

I think a doctors opinion of a liver is swayed by health of patient. I bet if you were really sick and on death bed the doctor might try. If your doing good he might wait for a good one.

yeah If it's true that NO NEWS is good news. I'VE been good for 9 years, I've had my time already. I couldn't ask for more. Even though It was a rather depressing time. I only wish I would have made better use of my time.Maybe I Can squeeze 9 more years out of it. tongue
