        hey dude,   "sovaldi all oral"  tx has been approved for rx for geno 2, and 3 only.  thats less than 30% of patients.  in october 2014, sovaldi/ledi will be ready to go, for all geno 1 patients.  thats when the boards will light up.

WAT?! it says approved for Gen 1

I think why things are not as "busy" is also due to coverage by insurance and not all insurance is covering this, luckily I was covered by our insurance for Genotype 2 and here's my story of the last three months and it was a success!

Thanks hateuc, I am so very lucky my wife's insurance plan covered me because initially I was scheduled to take Peg-Interferon and Ribavirin but when my wife read the side effects she went out of her way to find the info to make it possible for our insurance to consider funding it.

Once they considered it then within weeks of me constantly harassing them for coverage they then agreed to cover me for 80% of the total cost and offered to pay 100% of the cost if I paid just $3000 CDN dollars which of course I did.

In the end I think the total payments for my three month treatment of Sovaldi and Ribavirin cost just over $90,0000 CDN and after just a month my viral load had dropped from 4.7 million down to 79 and I *just* finished treatment last Wednesday(April 30 2014) and will have my viral load results within a week...I'll then take another VL test at the end of July 2014 at which time they should announce I am cured.

I'm praying the government's everywhere will do their part to make this treatment available to everyone regardless of insurance coverage or financial status, this is a life saving treatment and is a simple combination of pills taking 90 days to CURE people and in the end not only save the lives of infected people but also save substantial costs on a already taxed health care system..this will save the government money in the long wrong by treating everybody ASAP and ridding the world of Hepatitis.

I wish you all the best of luck and have faith within the next 6-12 months even more options for treatment will be more affordable until the slow moving governments realize what needs to happen, they simply need to buck up and treat the residents of their countries and get rid of this virus once and for all!
