Again got the call,got to the hospital.prepped ..liver not viable ..so third time is not a charm lol going for #4 have to laugh maybe ill set a new record
feeling ok
acieties is being a pain,and being in kansas is not a whole lotta fun
but all is well as could be

Here I thought you were recovering and ignoring us. I have heard of multiple dry runs, but 4? Your sense of humor is saving you right now. You will get that pristine liver :) You know we will be watching for a POST transplant update. You're close, at least. Big Hugs

no ignoring just been super busy writing nuptials for my youngest boys wedding ,coming up he will be getting married in Yosemite valley.I told my doc and he insisted i go.So i will be sneaking in on them to perform the service.i know i will cry...if ive never mentioned it to you I am an ordained Buddhist Reverend..Sounds fancy huh..lol ..I met a man when i was in ucla hospital who had 9 dry runs and was still chipper.i will try as i may to be in the moment and not worry about thing beyond my control .

Hi my dad is on liver transplant list here in mass, we got "the call" on 5/11 ,
got all prepped but while he was in OR we got call from doc liver did not pan out...... ( for 4 short hours I got to feel the old me rush through happy, at peace, not massive worry hopfull ) anyway I'm trying to figure out roughly how much time did it take to get another call....

@keepin...hang in there...these docs don't want there to be an imperfect match...those with closer matches do better post tp. hopefully the center is working closely with you to keep all your spirits up.

By the time Mike got "the call" 3 years ago, he was desperately ill. I don't know if he had any more waiting in him. He has had some setbacks but is doing well now.

I hope your dad does too.
