Hi MamaLama
So glad to hear he has started. Yeah. My first day of nausea was on day 2 but recovered quickly. The next day of nausea was this last Saturday. I have been able to work 50 hours a week through the treatment.
I have to try the SPF 60 shirts. Thanks for the tip. My doc said one of his patients was overexposed to the sun and came in beet red.

We are taking your hint about
sun exposure seriously.
We read statistics saying about
25% of Olysio users have rashes and/or sun issues.
When one of our kids was a teen, she had Lyme disease and was on tetracycline. It has a sun warning.
It was fall and cool, so didn't think too much about
it. Poor kid hd raw meat on the back of her hands from driving!
And thus the sun gloves. From the fishing dept.

9 days left in my treatment program. I go in for blood work the end this week and next appointment with the Hepatologist is 4/1. I'm not sure if my system is getting use to the RIBA or adrenaline is kicking in as I approach the finish line but the effect of fatigue is less pronounced.
I will post results of blood work when available and looking forward to early July to see if I'm SVR-12.

Headwind...I have heard that when the Hep C is GONE, that the patients start to feel better and sides disapear!!! Sounds like that is true in your case! I'm so glad this has gone well for you.

My GP did general blood work on me at 8 weeks post treatment completion. My AST was 16 and ALT was 22. He did not test for viral load since my blood work for 12 weeks post treatment (SVR 12) is scheduled for 6/28.

My partner, Mike, is right behind you, and has his next post treatment labs scheduled. It will be great to get to the 12 weeks post mark and still be undetected. Congratulations, Mama Lama

I honestly have not let this all sink in yet. Knowing this journey is in all likelihood over is just too much for me to comprehend.

Just got back from my appointment with the hepatologist. He pronounced me officially CURED. Next appointment in 1 year. His early experience with the new treatment has been extremely positive. He said that only 2 of his patients did not clear the virus and this is a very busy institute. I am one of his first patients that has reached SVR 12 as I started the 12 week treatment program on 1/3/14.

Cured. SVR. Cured.. :)
There was a time they did not use that term. I remember when the surgeon said themister "eradicated Hep C". I liked that phrase.
Themister and I just looked at your post. We were discussing the way a hospital report looks ...well, it reports. It always states "undetected" (3 years next month of undetected reports for themister). But SVR? Well, that is what you get at 12 weeks post the end of treatment. And that SVR is the biggie that makes it all worthwhile. Thanks for posting the info from your health clinic. We love to hear the good results roll in. Big Hugs
