And certainly no offense taken.....I have a rather dark sense of humor anyway! I think it's important, especially when dealing with a serious illness, to find humor wherever you can. Robert and I made jokes about lactulose, his 'ascites figure', his surgical scar, whatever. Truth be told, it was usually me that took the lead in the jokes department - he tended to take things a bit more seriously than me - but he tried! Lol My entire family has the same twisted sense of humor. My mom used to tell me that when you can't laugh anymore, that's when you're really in trouble.

I've seen those coolers before - and the stickers, too. I forgot what catalog it was in, but they sold the stickers and in the description it mentioned putting one on your cooler so no one would mess with your lunch. Not sure that would fool anyone if you worked on a construction site!

He handled the entire episode so well. He was right in the average age to get testicular cancer, and he caught it early. Even though he was a very healthy, invincible guy who never went to the doctor, he literally called the next day, and within a short time, the little fella was removed. There was no spread, but he had radiation because our entire family forced him to take that added insurance.

He saved up a few vials of swimmers, but in the end he and his wife had two beautiful healthy girls in the usual way. Well usual for a man without a full set, so to speak.

Yes, my family has a sick sense of humor. That is how we cope. : )
