I had MRI on August - 9
And my doctor appointment is on august-26.
But I went to take my MRI report today.. But I didn't take CD.. I just take the paper report only.. I see list of doctors name and nothing list diagnosis result In it.. Can anyone tell me do they mention anything diagnosis result in paper report!!
Or real diagnosis report contain only on CD!!

Huh don't know..

Is so, what does this say?

And there would be an "indications" area. I am looking at a recent report for my husband...It is an MR Abdomen. Big Hugs

Hi.
Usually, the report does not mention the actual diagnosis. The report gives the findings within the specific area that is being scanned. For example if it's an abdominal MRI, it will give detailed findings of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, colon, etc. Then, there will be a section called "impressions" which will give information regarding anything abnormal or anything that needs to be brought to the prescribing doctors attention. Typically, based on the report, the doctor will make the final Diagnosis based on all the info he/she has been provided.
It's a good idea to always get a copy of the test on CD if you can.

No.. There is nothing like those you have mention.. They just mention the list of poeple who have made appointment for my MRI and the name of the person who did my MrI, what time I came there at the radiology.. And mention the nurse name who I met first.. ANd what time start my MRI and what time I finish MRI.. And name of the person who did transcript .. At the end of the paper there wrote:

Current status: F
And write the name of the guy who did MRI
!!!
*F mean I think Finalised!!

Is that what I am getting in the paper report.. They charge 25 bugs for cd so I didn't take and I don't want to see my assaholic liver in the cd too..! I felt like I want to know the status my my diagnosis .. Huh scare to hear I have cirrhosis.. I don't know..

That's not an MRI report. What you have is basically a summary note. Did you specifically ask for a finalized copy of your MRI report? Sometimes a radiology facility is not allowed to release the results to the patients directly. You may need to get the finalized report from your doctor. Call the radiology facility and see what regulations they have and if you can get a finalized copy.
You don't need to view your cd but it's always good to have a copy incase you need to get a second opinion. Wow... $25!... That's a lot. You might ask your doctor to request the cd for you... Sometimes they will waive the fee if the request comes from the doctor. Hope this info helps.

I have an entire set of Cd's of the various CT's and MRI's. All for free too, can't imagine charging $25 ... it takes them less than a couple of minutes to cut the Cd. I usually get it done immediately after each of my scans.

Please do include the actual MRI Radiology Report - which is created by their assigned radiologist after doing his or her thing that day or up to a few days after your Aug 9 scan. We can help you interpret things if you'd like.

I will try to call the radiology tomorrow and see what they gonna say when I ask them Finalized report!!
