Usually, the report does not mention the actual diagnosis. The report gives the findings within the specific area that is being scanned. For example if it's an abdominal MRI, it will give detailed findings of the liver, kidneys, pancreas, colon, etc. Then, there will be a section called "impressions" which will give information regarding anything abnormal or anything that needs to be brought to the prescribing doctors attention. Typically, based on the report, the doctor will make the final Diagnosis based on all the info he/she has been provided.
It's a good idea to always get a copy of the test on CD if you can.
