Happy Tidings....from GramaLama

It's a girl!

My first grandchild, Emma Katherine, came into the world on Friday night by C-section (she was breech), weighing in at a whopping 5 lbs, 5 ounces and 17 1/2 in. tall. She's such a gift!

Mom and baby doing well...doctor wants her hips checked in 6 weeks by MRI (due to breech position). She will be having an UltraSound today or tomorrow to check a "dimple" near her coccyx. Praying it's not spina bifida, though they think not.

So that's the reason I have been among the missing for the past week :) At least this caregiver has a happy job with THIS patient!

I am living here for now with the proud parents and baby, and yes David, I'm the only babysitter they will trust right now Lol, but it's a pleasure to be sure.

Gotta wait til Tuesday on the US for the sacral dimple...the suspense is killing us in the meantime.

She's such a precious gift, no matter what :)
