Hi Maheshk,

It is good to hear that you are halfway through your treatment.

At exactly eight weeks, I forgot my evening dose (3 pills) of ribavirin. It was no problem though. Afterwards, I modified my dosing schedule and did not take my doses at exact times. If I was within an hour or two of my next dose, then I would go ahead and take it. That seemed to work better and reduced the chance of missing another.

I had a deep aching in my right leg as well. It only bothered me when I woke up in the middle of the night. It didn't last long though. I hope your doctor or someone has a remedy for you.

I am doing well now. I am back to exercising and running in the early morning before work. I am still just a little anxious, but much happier. I am so thankful that the HCV is gone. I still think about it sometimes, but nothing like I used too. It seems that I breathe better and I am stronger.

I will think positive thoughts for you and say prayers in hope that the HCV remains gone and your legs and overall health improve.

Hi Everyone ,


I have finished 7 shots of Interferon and there are only 5 remaining

I have good news to share My leg pain is gone I am feeling much better

My ANC count has also gone up from 915 now it has become 1300

only thing which is going down is Haemoglobin now it is 9.9

But I am feeling normal I hope and Pray worst is over

save and except some weakness I am feeling great


I thank everyone on this platform

and my only suggestion to everybody is hang on there no matter what is happening to you please bear it

I am glad that you are feeling better, Maheshk.
Just a few more weeks and you are done/cured.
The last few weeks were the toughest for me due to impatience, but now it has been two months since I have finished.

Tomorrow I will be taking a shot of Interferon after this only 3 will be left

Maheshk,

That is great news!
Since clearing the HCV, I have felt better these past few weeks than I have in a long time.
One remarkable change is I am able to breathe better when I exercise.
I pray you experience the same relief.

Maheshk, I missed your post to Dog somehow. Hang in there , you are getting closer and soon will be rid of Hep C and the interferon. It is a more difficult treatment you and Dog had to take, for certain. I hope you are feeling well this week and excited to hear your end of treatment (EOT) report! Big Hugs

This week has been great , I took the shot of Interferon and

everything looks and appears great , some time I feel it is mind game ,


now only 2 more weeks are left


will keep you posted My MNC is around 1275

next shot is due on coming thursday then only few more weeks for treatment to get over

This treatment soon will be over! You have done very well with a difficult treatment. Interferon makes it difficult, but the anxiety of treatment is tough. Hang on....you are really doing great! You can do this ;) Big Hugs

Hi Everybody

Yesterday I took second last shot of Interferon

My AMC is 1480 and my next shot of Interferon is due on next thursday Sep 25th one week after that I need to take Sovaldi , Ribavarin up to Oct 2nd then I will go for total load , LFT and other test

Hope fully by that time I should be fully alright with grace of God and all of your prayers

Dog, hello! Is your doctor doing SVR12? SVR12 is considered the cure with Solvaldi? Just curious. Hope you are feeling well and I think you nailed this! Big Hugs

Hello everyone!
I've been back on the normal routine of exercise, eating okay, and getting plenty of sleep.
I gave a sample of blood today so I should have my six month SVR check by Monday - Wednesday.
I believe it will be good news, but I really don't know.
Maybe a little depressed.
Did Maheshk report a three month SVR?

Dog, We have not heard from Maheshk since the above post. Hope to soon! Please let us know your SVR. I am keeping everything crossed for you to clear. Sorry about the depression. Themister had it linger for a few months after interferon/riba. He was on an anti-depressant for treatment, but stopped it too soon, I feel. Let us know. Big Hugs

Relapsed. I am so disappointed.

My doctor wants me to report to have blood pulled and then an appointment.

I am curious as to whether I will be able to get the new Harvoni treatment with all the whoop that is going on with the price.

I'll report back after I see the doc.

But...I'm so sorry.

I hope you can get the Harvoni and will be anxious to hear how that works.

Remind us of your cirrhosis and or fibrosis status. Did the tell you your viral load or MELD scores? WE are keeping good thoughts for your next appointments.

I believe I will have to have tests such as a ultrasound or biopsy to determine my fibrosis.
We think it's at F3. My enzymes do not indicate cirrhosis, but won't know for sure until tested.

My relapse viral load was 387452 iu/mL. It was 635488 iu/mL before treatment. Genotype is the same as before, 1a.

There's a couple of things that I didn't do during treatment like new tooth brushes every week, razors, etc.

All kinds of things going through my mind. CVS doesn't have Harvoni listed yet. I understand some are being denied treatment.

Oh well. At least there is still a potential cure out there. I'll try and stay positive.

Will keep you posted.

Dog..so sorry about this relapse. My heart sunk when I read your post last night. Dangit!! I really thought you had it this time. This just stinks. Themister was so defeated after his 1st treatment relapse and it put him in an awful funk. (putting it mildly) But there was not much else they offered to him. He already had cirrhosis. So he kind of gave up for a few years. Please don't do that. Several years later he decided to give it another shot. He obtained SVR...and honestly, we did not think it would work and planned for the worst. Not the best way to approach it...but it is what it is! We continue to see miracles on this forum. So you surely can be one :)

I would suggest this. Where you are F3...it is good to jump on Harvoni if you possibly can, as soon as you heal up from the riba and interferon parts. Ask your doc to plead your case and appeal if they balk and deny you. It seems to take at least that much now.

If CVS still denies, call Gilead ---

See if they will assist you since you are F3.

My blood test was a HCV Fibrosure. I did not know this type of test existed. I thought I had to have a biopsy to learn this information.
It's my understanding that this test was developed ten years ago. And for the life of me I can't understand why my gastro didn't do this test last Jan. - March when I was deciding what I would do concerning treatment.
WTH! Anyway, I'm very disappointed with him for now.
With what I already know about CVS and Express scripts, only folks with F3 and worse fibrosis are being treated in an attempt to get Gilead and others to reduce prices of drugs or for whatever reason.
What am I supposed to do? Hope I am near cirrhosis so I can get treated? That's jacked up.
That's my rant. Lol

    hi dog,  sorry about your relapse..  there is a new option other than sovaldi or harvoni. Abbvies new tx was approved today friday. it has 4 anti viral pills to take eveyday for 12 weeks. it has a mid 90% sucess rate.

 if your dr wants to go with harvoni, ask him about 24 weeks, since you already relapsed on sovaldi.

with the new abbvie tx, hopefully prices will get better.

fibrosure is not a reliable fibrosis test.

@ ppm.. Barry, nice to see your posts today! I read the Abbvie Viekira Pak is going to be $83,319.00 USD for 12 weeks. This continues to cost too much, but looks like about $10,000 less than Gilead's Harvoni at $94,500.00 USD for 12 weeks. Thanks Themis, looks like they positioned themselves very well. The eleven grand just may put gilead in a competitive corner. It's gonna take a sizable chunk out of gilead.

I will remain strong through this battle with the dragon.

I'm not disputing anything mentioned about the Fribrosure test.
I will dispute my doctor's office advice. Anyway, I read about the Fibrosure test. The document mentioned about 90+ percent accuracy. It also mentioned that one should fast eight hours before the test.

WTH! My doctor's office told me to go get blood drawn. They didn't mention anything about fasting before.
I'm thinking that whatever the result is, it's bunk.

I am very suspicious of my medical care.
I am going to start Googleing EVERYTHING for now on.

Please mention this to all the folks posting on the message board. Your doctor is practicing medicine. He/she is probably not an expert and very prone to mistakes.
