Sovaldi and Ribavirin side effects

I haven't posted in a while but had a question about the Sovaldi and Ribavirin treatment. I have done a few interferon treatments in the past. One put me into remission (Regular Interferon and Ribavirin) but my Hep C came back after one year post-treatment. I've been waiting for another treatment to become available. I have genotype 1, so I'm waiting for Sovaldi to be approved the end of this year. I remember when I did the pegylated interferon that I had horrible side effects. I couldn't complete the treatment. One thing was the doctor had told me to not exercise. As someone who'd always been athletic, I thought he was being overly dramatic so I went to play softball anyway. Then I couldn't get out of bed for 2-3 days. It made me so ill. I've heard the Sovaldi and Ribavirin don't cause side effects. Has anyone had experience with this, with the side effects? I'm wondering if I won't be able to be active once I start treatment? Any experience or feedback is very much appreciated. I'm the kind of patient who will have a reaction or side effect, no matter how uncommon it is. So I'm thankful for any feedback.

I'm just beginning my 12th week on some sovaldi and ribavirin. My protocol is 24 weeks total. At this point I feel like it's a walk in the park compared to the old interferon and ribavirin treatment. The minor side effects I have experienced have lessened as the weeks have gone by. This may be due to the fact that the virus is no longer detectable in my bloodstream, or it may just be that I'm acclimating to the medications. Regardless, they were completely tolerable at the beginning, and have gotten to be even less of an issue. We are so lucky to have this treatment. I wish you the best,
