Once again the hospital has called me to say my enzymes are high. Not sure which are what, but one they said is normally in the 20s is now in the 200s. Today they are retesting my blood and doing an ultrasound to see if the blood is flowing correctly, then maybe a possible biopsy. My godson is getting married this weekend and I am doing a reading, as is my husband; and my son is best man. I'm more worried that I'm going to need something drastic and immediate. The last time I posted, my enzymes were high, but they normalized by the next day. I don't know why I feel the need to post, just somehow I feel like I'm talking to friends. I guess I'm just needing positive thoughts. Thanks all.

I had a similar experience. My enzymes were high, and they scheduled a biopsy. This took some time and they were back down when I went for biopsy. So hopefully it will not be immediate for you. The end result I am now am on treatment (Sovaldi) with Pegetron clear click and pills.
I too feel it is great to be part of this community. I know I cannot do this alone.

Hi GWT! You are now over a year since your liver transplant! Congrats on the birthday!

When you posted in May, your enzymes were up, but went back down in not much time. I hope that is the case again. I am really glad to hear you are getting some testing done, though. Best to be sure with you transplanted ones :) Will you know the results today? Not certain how it is at Barnes-Jewish with those tests you are doing today.

I too, hope you don't need to miss the wedding of your godson. We miss too much while dealing with the liver transplant waiting game, and all the stuff on this side of that coin. You've been there, too. Nice to see you post, but sorry to hear there are some small concerns. Big Hugs

Nothing happens in 4 days around here. I bet they can't even schedule a biopsy in a two week window....so....go enjoy the wedding.

You know the drill...seek medical help for fever over 101, bleeding that doesn't stop right away, pain that doesn't resolve with mild OTC meds (keep dosages down).

Im post transplant. I went to the emergency room pains in my liver. My enzymes were also high and my Prograf levels were low they did an immediate biopsy, as well as an exploratory surgery and found my ducts collapsed. I received two stints. A month later the stints were removed and I have had no problems since. Good Luck.....

Thank you so much! You all once again have lifted my spirits. The doctor scheduled another blood draw and an ultrasound to check my blood vessels in my liver. The radiologists said the vessels all looked like they were working. I came home and called, and my numbers were down again. This is like the 3rd time this has happened, and thankfully, my numbers go down. They have no explanation. I'm glad the doctor wanted to check my numbers before scheduling the biopsy. If this happens again (please, no!!) I will try not to panic and try to talk them into a blood draw right away.

Yes, I am one year past now. My friend called it my liver-versary. :) I appreciate all your kind words. How do I check in on other comments that aren't a response to mine? I would love to be encouraging to others as you all are to me. Thanks again! Wedding here I come!
