Thanks music, I'll do my best to start coming regularly again...I stayed away during the summer to avoid the stress and so I wouldn't worry for three months until my next blood test and it worked, no stress all summer and then I got the news yesterday and wow!, what a relief to finally know for sure that it worked.

From what I've read online, your declining platelets are a normal function of ending treatment with ribavirin. My understanding is that there is a direct relationship between the hemoglobin and the platelets. Your platelets increased during treatment because your hemoglobin was being destroyed by the riba. Now, since you are no longer taking the riba (and killing your hmg), your body is decreasing production of your platelets.

Hi guys, got the call from hepatologist ofc to get my labs done this week for three mo after end of treatment. Accepting your prayers and positive thoughts...should have results within 5 bus days from tomorrow! Hope all of you are doing well, enjoying getting rid of this virus or celebrating svr. Be back when get results. Still having therapy..a real blessing.

Therapy for anxiety and mood swings continues...so helpful..no news... first retest end of Oct and then Jan. Encouragement to all those thinking of starting or going through treatment..and to those with HE also. You can do this treatment!!! It's So worth it. Look forward to reading more. I am brand new to this forum. My son is about to start the Solvaldi/Ribivirin regiment. I am a little concerned about the anxiety/mood swings, since he already suffers from these symptoms. Can you take something like valium during this treatment?

By the way, thank you SO MUCH for your journal here! We'd be absolutely in the dark without these personal accounts. THANK YOU.

Hi hl, rbb, and ml. Thanks so much for the kind comments. River, your son has similar things I had going on, and his hepatologist is the answer to what would be safe and helpful during treatment. Mostly stay focused in other activities, dont eat grapefruit with sovaldi (from their RN support line), takes meds about same times each day, always eat before riba). It wasn't till about the third week I noticed more fatigue, and later my hepatologist lowered the riba as it can cause this by sometimes reducing red blood cells...within a week things were greatly improved energy wise. , I was back to my normal...lol. My Dr later recommended an excellent therapist to help with just dealing with anxiety etc...she has been a blessing. He will do great with his caring mom close! Best to you all. You might want to copy and past your post in a NEW Thread which will invite a new group of posters see what's going on with your family and offer support along the way.

Good luck to your son...the treatment is short, not very physically challenging....and staying focused on Sustained Viral Response in the face of how AWFUL late stages of liver disease can be makes whatever anxiety pops up along the way bearable.

We are recommending food with the Riba and lots and lots of water...as much as half your body weight in ounces per day!

Hi guys, happy Wednesday! Had to share with this, my online family...got call from hepatologist today. Three mo after end of 6 mo treatment...remains totally UNDETECTED! So very thankful. They will do one more test in three more months...end of Jan. just know, if I can do this, everyone can. Without this group of such caring and knowledgeable wonderful members, I would not have made it all the way...thank you all. Look forward to hearing some more treatment outcomes and reading your posts throughout your journeys. Love you guys!

Themiz, hold fast, and plant eater, tks guys for the excitement with me. Yes, I am celebrating this stage of success, but no svr yet. Dr says one more test three more mo. , end of Jan. Very hopeful. Such a miracle so far since I am 1a and was ineligible for peg interferon, had ribavirin and sovaldi for six mo. And due to anemia riba was cut down after 12 weeks. Hope this can help others..my friends and family are soooo excited now...especially the ones who thought treatment would not work for me. You guys hang in there.... Many miracles ahead for us all!!! Could not have made it through without your support!!!

Hey Steve, tks!!! 🎶 Dr did state cured! But will do required confirmatory test at end of Jan, too. Have a super fantastic Thanksgiving, Steve and everyone! So amazed at our conditions last year at this time before sovaldi was approved. So blessed. And if Allen checks in too, have a good one!

I just wanted to pop in and say hello to both steve-ca and you, music. I am so happy to know many are post treatment and doing well. You guys were in that Freshman Class on the Solvaldi treatment! What a remarkable medication this has been. Big Hugs
