My dad didn't make it :(

I lost my dad in July of this year to alcoholic cirrhosis, ppl helped me a lot on this site, but I lost one of my best friends.

I left my dad's bedside at 11 pm to go sleep in the truck outside the hospital I should have never left my mom alone with him he passed away at 1230 that evening. If anyone wants to know what it's like to pass away from alcohol cirrhosis and what to expect I gave been through it and it's not easy.

Mama this site helped me so much, David especially and lost son......I always prayed for lost sons dad to get a transplant as my father was too far gone. My wish by the church that night came true.

S&S, I feel so sad that you are having a down moment. I can't begin to imagine how hard it must be since I know you were really hoping for the best and you did so much to help. I remember that when I heard about your dad I shut down for a bit because I was so upset over it.

It really means a lot to me that you helped me out through a tough time and that your wishes were with my dad. I know that prayer and faith has helped out my family so much right now. I also pray for your still because I know it is hard moving on. But just remember, you did all you could and you stood by him. He knew that.

Thanks guys, your words make me feel a bit better. I am soooooo happy lost son your dad got his transplant I shut everyone out for a while, but I came back to see if he received the gift, it makes me smile.
