Hi guys
My liver seems to be incredibly sensitive. Don't want to go into too many details n bore you....but....
more or less normal in studies, but all the classic signs of liver troubles.... docs think there's nothing up but i experience very uncomfortable symtpoms, pain, yellowing, dry mouth, pale stools etc
ANYWAY.....
what diets work well for you... i'm obviously avoiding fats and currently a vegetarian to try and see if that does anything....
last week I was going well, symtpoms improving a bit then ate mashed boiled potatoes (no butter milk or salt) with pinto beans (plain as well) 3 meals in a row (I know, boring and silly, but I was very busy and that's what I had prepared and was in the fridge.....
and the next day BOOM! pale stools! I thought it was the protein from the beans, What do you think?
I ate a LOT of white rice yesterday and all my dry mouth and itchiness came back (not strongly but hadn't felt it for a couple of weeks) ..... no protein or fat yesterday. Maybe it's high GI foods that's preventing my healing??? Then I remembered all the white potato I had eaten.... maybe there's a link there?
Does High GI cause you problems?
In the summer I had a HUGE improvement in symptoms for a few weeks and ate irresponsibly and it all came crashing down again.
