8 down, 4 to go.  Saw NP for last time today; labs should be in next week.

Still proceeding as usual,  nothing really to report

Thank you for checking in. As we continue to witness, the new Hep C treatments lack much in the way of negative sides. Certainly tolerable for most. We love that you have nothing new to report, LA! Big Hugs

Hi All

Well better late than never.

the 8 week test came back, still undetected. Platelets; Hemo-globin -crits are holding steady.

Sides still continue to be a non-issue. (very grateful)

Only 19 days to go.  Time flies when you are having fun.

I hope I can continue to provide positive results.

I read someone else's blog about contracting HCV with Jet-pak vaccines while in the service. Makes me wonder if that's how I contracted this (in the late 70's). Since they really didn't have any testing until the 90's; I may have been one of the many guinea pigs the Army used and abused. I guess it would be hard to prove one way or another. But it would be nice to obtain a service connected disability (tax free) check every month.

Cant believe I only have one week to go.  That was the quickest 11 weeks I can remember, other than the last 35 years going by very quickly.

Still continue to be relatively side free. 

I have basically told myself, that I had to do this for "lent", especially the NO Soda rule. So Easter cant get here fast enough.  

I wish all those out there with similar treatments, that it all goes smoothly for you, and that you receive the UNDETECTED Result in every follow-up test.

That WAS a fast 11 weeks, LA. Don't forget to let us know your final VL at 12 weeks post end of treatment . Almost done. Big Hugs

Feels great knowing only 1 week to go.

I am confident that the undetected results will continue at 3/6/9 months.

Hi LA - noticed your story here and there through out my journey so far and was told today for me I was NOT DETECTED at 8 weeks and 3 days of Harvoni!!! Am I freaking lucky or what?!   Best to you!!

PS: I love LA!

PSS: I'm so darn grateful today and lately that I love everywhere - lol!!!!!!! (but LA still does rock).

I love LA also. (I am NY transplant, and never regretted moving here. No Bugs, No Humidity, No SNOW.)

Thanks god that 12 weeks went SOOOOO fast.

Thanks to all you out there for your kind words of Support and Advice.

Other than my boss and VA professionals, no one else in my life knew about this; so you all were a helpful source of inspiration.

Now the waiting game begins to find out my 3 and 6 month POST treatment results.  Everything crossed in hopes for continued positive results (undetected that is). And that all the post treatment sides were as minimal as the during treatment ones.

End of Treatment VL remains undetected. (Which I would have expected.)

I imagine the results in the SVR tests will be much more interesting and hopefully gratifying.

Hi All
Sorry I haven't been here for a while..
Took my labs at VA about a month ago, and then they lost the blood, so I had to redo the labs and get an ultrasound, oy.

So, the 3 month post treatment labs came back, UNDETECTED.
Good News, right..

Not sure at moment if that means I am in the clear permanently, or if there is another test 3-6 months down the road, but good news for now.

The only issue I have had was, about two weeks after treatment ended, I got a rash/eczema/psoriasis type if thing on my hands. It lasted a while, and there are still some residual dry skin, but seems to be gone now. Went to an outside Derma guy, but he couldn't pinpoint anything. I didn't even bother going to VA since it would take 2-3 months to get an appointment there. So mostly I just used regular hand lotion and took benedryl and that's it.

Thanks again for all the support during the treatment stage. I hope you all receive similar results in your treatments.

This is a cure!

Cure means Hep C is not detected in blood 3 months after treatment has ended.

You eradicated the virus, LA. Congrats!! Wonderful news. Big Hugs

Congratulations on good news. Hoping to join your club in a couple of months.

Interesting about your rash as I had a sort of similar experience - about a week or so after treatment ended I began to develop hives/welts. Large itchy bumps that came up at random in random places and would recede a day or two later. They lasted for a couple of weeks and then stopped.
