The Bruins, Celts and Sox have gone down the tubes this year, but at least the Pats came through. It will be interesting to see how their draft choices turn out.

amazing day in Alberta Canada!! the political party that has been in power for 43 years has been dethroned!! this party has been responsible for cuts to hospitals and programs to help people like us..cuts to education...cuts to Seniors..but we are the richest Province in Canada!! like what the fug? Finally we will see some changes that will make sense to the working stiff and programs that help seriously ill people!! Awesome day!! the future looks alot brighter!! ...have a good day all!!

Barry, I do some political work here in Florida and the people can make a difference if they care and get ot to vote. The US has a poor record for voter participation. I wish the Albertians (or however that works near you) the best in improving conditions in health care for those who need it. ML

we had the best voter turnout in 30 years!! over 60%.. Finally people had enough of a non caring, self serving party!!! I guess like you said people just stick their head in the sand ... but yesterday on voting day there must have been an earthquake and shook them out of the sand and they went and voted!!! A great day for everyone who lives here...I,m thinking it shows that if you leave a party in power for so long they get oblivious to the needs of the people and think that anything they do is right...maybe you can use us as an example of what can be, opposed to what you decide to just accept? You have a awesome day MamaLama!!! may god bless your day with smiles and laughter!!

MamaLama !! geez your partner has had some bad luck..I hope things turn around!! hep-c must have attacked hard after transplant, I was warned of that before mine..but thank god it never happened.I am kinda wondering why at 65 they would not do another transplant? here in Canada if your clear of hep-c they will no problem...to me thats unfair as the average age that a person lives is 80 now...

To make a hot link, try this:
Key in [ u r l ] (leave no spaces)
Then paste your link immediately after.
End with [ / u r l ] (again, leave no spaces)
After you submit your post or reply, check your link and make sure it is hot. Be certain to follow Rule 4 when linking websites.
Rule 4. No advertising or links to advertising or "Spam" is permitted.
Advertising or spam is defined as posting a link for the purpose of selling, soliciting or promoting something.
Links promoting fundraising, advocacy, etc. are not permitted.
Links to personal blogs/homepages are allowed in member profiles and signatures
Sharing of links to helpful and relevant web sites and resources is allowed if they are not used for a promotional purpose.
Let's see if that works! Big Hugs

I am envious of your lack of sides, although mine do seem to be leveling off a bit. No headache but my joints ache and I tend to hit a wall where I just have to crash for a bit. beneath the sx I do feel sooo much better. I had no recognition of just how bad hep c made me feel. I though it was just because I am pushing 60.

imbb good to ear from you!! I also thought that any pain or feelings of lack of drive were because of pushing 60!! I have discovered one side.. inability to get a good nights sleep!! But that's a small thing compared to what Hep_c delivers...I hope your doing well!!!

Somehow it seems very ironic that two of the listed side effects are insomnia and fatigue. Go figure.
I take my dose around 9 a.m. And insomnia has been no more of an issue than normal for me. Have had a bit of it all my life. Did find out while going through the refill hoop that one can go up to three days without a dose and not break the continuity of treatment. Not something to strive for but It was a relief when I was stuck thinking I would be missing a day. And then it all worked out and that worry was for naught.

Barry and Barb,
I have some info on sides I have kept from Harvoni and will not list all of it, but it looks like the insomnia does plague a few who treat.
Harvoni Side Effects:
More common
Diarrhea
headache
nausea
trouble sleeping
unusual tiredness or weakness
And this from earlier trials information on adverse side effects:
HARVONI 12 WEEKS
Fatigue 13%
Headache 14%
Nausea 7%
Diarrhea 3%
Insomnia 5%
Soon the sides and Hep C hopefully will be but a memory :) I am pulling for you both, Big Hugs

thank you for the info..I was talking to the RN that monitors me and she told me Calcium and Harvoni are a bad mix..the Clacium makes it hard for Harvoni to work...I take a bone pill everyday because Hep-c brought on the onset of Osteoporosis,so i had to switch it to 12hrs later..apparently calcium changes the PH of your stomach..I figured i should share this so anyone else who is taking calcium can adjust the time when they take it so it will not effect your chances!! Also Lopressor, metoprolol tartrat not be taken with Harvoni you must give 12hr spacing between the two

Congratulations to you! Those changed numbers certainly outweigh the sides for me. Envious of your lack of them but really, you've been through enough. I'll take my sides over your transplant any day.
The list the miz sent is not very complete IMHO. I am having chills, joint pain, muscle aches and hot flashes along with occasional nausea. From reading a different hep forum I am certainly not unique with those symptoms. I may be a bit unique in treating with keytruda as well and I really can't be sure which is what but they all came on after starting harvoni. And despite them I feel very fortunate to have bypassed interferon. Oh, and to have melanoma tumors disappear...

Wow Barry I feel like we just met and you are saying goodbye already? Blessings to you and a sincere wish that we all end up virus free forever. Amazing that it is now a likelihood versus a slim hope...
Don't work too hard! Unless of course you love what you do...

Hi Barry,
All is well with me. Most recent labs show no viral load. That makes it over 3 years. I work every day, sometimes weekends, as this time of year everyone is in a rush to get their houses ready for summer. The good thing is that mid summer is my slow time, so fishing and beaching is on my schedule.
As far as achy feet, have you tried wearing TEDS (support stockings)?
