Wonderful! at 12 weeks post EOT, that cure word can be used. You know, I wonder if your case is more complicated with melanoma treatment and not knowing what is what? I think you are on to something w/ your combo treatment sides not being typical.
Themister, with ESLD, had several complications... and an emergency surgery during his 2nd treatment with interferon/riba. (I am sooo glad you did not have to take that treatment). He had an egg size lump come on his neck, which is now gone...but that was a month before his EOT. All sorts of testing for cancer. His Dad died of lymphoma at 50, and scared the pants off both of us. Benign cyst. Thank goodness. He never felt any better at all after eradicating Hep C....which is not typical. Mentally, emotionally...much, much better! Physically? Nope.
The good news: He does not have Hep C to destroy a new liver, should he be lucky enough to ever get a transplant. (Geeze, what a roller coaster this transplant journey is, Barbara).
But still...this is SUCH good news you are done with Harvoni treatment and that things are looking so positive on that "eradication" front:)
How does Kaytruda work? Is there a finish line? So much happening in both cancer and Hep C arena we can be grateful about. Big Hugs
