you have a great treatment med, at the right price. How many weeks is your treatment? please let us know how you are doing during treatment.

I have heard of some who were nervous about getting their second order, waited to start a week leaving themselves an over lap week to fuss at the pharmacy or insurance if the second order was delayed.

Blut I too have not heard of anyone actually facing interrupted treatment.

My partner had no trouble on the fulfillment side once the deal was struck.

I am gong to have a million questions. I will post and let you know how I am doing!

My first question is will I be sick? I have other issues that make me feel not so good so I am wondering if this will be really hard on me?

I got it! Had to stay home from work to accept the del. i am starting tonight. It all happened so fast.

Plan on taking at night before bed because I take orher meds for another chronic illness during the day.

If you read the back posts from MANY treatment alums, you will see that some do and some do not suffer from side effects from the various treatment regimens.

When my partner was on Interferon and Ribavirin, he was a WRECK. He had to take both procrit and nupegin injections to keep his white and red bloods counts somewhere north of DEAD. He had riba rage, he was basically NUTS for months. He was on a 6 months regimen and took ages to feel better. And the treatment didn't work. He was cured in 2014 when he finally got a NON Riba alternative for Genotype 1a, Sovaldi and Olysio. I don't see many here on that one. BUT her cleared the virus in a few weeks and is still virus free! Woo Hoo.

He had no treatment side effects the second time, if anything, he felt better than in ages because the virus was not constantly brining him down. He was post transplant, so he is not a perfect 10 these days, but he is alive and feeling better over all than before the virus was killing off his new liver completely.

I observe (and I am not a doc) that folks who had some problems before treatment with digestion problems or anxiety, etc might see those symptoms increase on treatment. Most have said they clear their treatment side effects shortly after going of the meds...and if you have cleared there is more than jubillation!

So long as you are drinking lots of water and taking food with Riba, you should be okay..some headaches, some tummy aches, and maybe increased anxiety if that is an issue for you at stressful times anyway.

I always think about Hep C treatment like a cancer treatment....without the hair loss and puking.

I am taking solvadi and ribavirin - major side effect - tired -
the other stuff subsides - drinking a lot of water. Taking an advil once in awhile.
I am on week 8 or 9 - going to doc Wednesday to see if I need another 12 weeks of treatment (I hope not).

I wish you the best in your "recovery" process. Keep us updated on your progress. I so enjoyed reading what others went thru on this.

One of the first things "they" stress is not to miss a dose and it is almost immediately followed up (per Gilead) with:

"If you miss a dose of HARVONI, take the missed dose as soon as you remember the same day. Do
not take more than 1 tablet of HARVONI in a day. Take your next dose of HARVONI at your regular
time the next day."

Recommend that you call your specialty pharmacist. These folks are professional, knowledgable and in my experience, very helpful. While it's always prudent to talk to your doc (and I'd bounce it off him/her as well) no one knows more about these drugs than specialty pharmacists.

I was on a more complicated regimen for 24 weeks, but I had occasion to call my S.P. twice. He gave me great info and advice.
