My Hep C Journey

Hmm, I never tried quinoa milk. I like quinoa, but I sure love my coconut milk. Dragging out the espresso machine was just so I can put a good froth on the coconut milk... :)
I hadn't thought about adding espresso, but maybe I'll give it a shot after trying the original recipe.
Haven't tried hemp milk either...you're full of cool ideas...haha.

Hey, what day do you actually take your last dose?

Allison, you'll be feeling so much better in 2 months. It will be easy to get in shape.

My last dose is a week from Friday. March 4th. 9 days counting today.

I have done a little bit with making my own non-dairy milks. I have been making coconut. My Vitamix does a decent job grinding it down enough. Although according to this Qi Gong nutrition book I have it says you should have a 3 horsepower blender to really pulverize it down enough. (I put avocado pits in my smoothies too) The Vitamin is 2.25HP, but it has the grinding container.
You are supposed to strain the milk afterwards to get it good and smooth. Haven't done that as I usually do all this at 0'dark thirty before I head to work. I'm going to do my own quinoa milk next.

All meds will be extremely valuable should there be a failure in the distribution system. Ribavirin also treats pneumonia... and about a million people have pneumonia per year. I would keep anything that has a high barter value in a national crisis. The military and FDA say that 6 out of every 7 medications are good for 40 years. I thought I'd run down my symptoms one more time as finding a post like that here really helped me come to terms and be less frightened with this process.

I have gotten pretty forgetful. I'm still functioning at work, but it's not my best work. Kind of flighty.
I have the riba rash on the front of my shins mainly. It continues with random bumps along my arms and it have a patch on my chest. I also have some along both sides of my face on my cheeks next to my ears. I found a detoxifying face soap with activated charcoal in it at a whole food store. That helped on my face. Not as much on my chest.
I have rarely had any nausea. I have been very careful with my diet, eating less meat and processed foods. I actually put on 5 pounds, unlike most people taking sovaldi and ribavirin.
I have found myself getting more agitated just recently. Perhaps it is the situation of parent conferences and parents having a temper tantrum when their child decides not to do her work and gets a 0. Anyway, I found myself pretty agitated and felt like I was just aching to lash out. If I'd been pushed any further I may have demonstrated a little riba rage.
Physically, I took it easy and have lowered my activity level. I'm not sure that I needed to. That one bout with dizziness early on had me step back on intensity. I worried that I might push myself too far and I didn't have the luxury of being able to spend a lot of time in bed to recover. Besides, why would I want to do that to my body when it was already fighting a battle?
Anyway, I have to say, this has not been a horrible treatment. With what it is doing for me I feel a bit like a whiner complaining at all. Previous treatments were so much more unpleasant and had a significant lower chance of curing HCV.

All in all, I feel decent and happy about this. I have a lot of people to thank who encouraged me here. THANK YOU!!!!
