Okay, here is the deal.
about eight weeks ago I was diagnosed with Bronchitis, terrible, 103-104 fever, chills etc. I THOUGHT it was pneumonia, which I had before, but the doctor said that even if it was the antibiotic they gave me cures that also. Then, six weeks ago I was diagnosed with strep throat, sore throat was not very bad at all, but had pain swallowing, chills etc.
Here is where the tough part comes in. I am allergic to some antibiotics such as penicillin etc. I am pretty sure they gave me amoxicillin to cure the strep throat, however, the doctor warned that rarely it can not always cure it. I didn't feel much better a few days later, went back, to a different doctor but at the same place, and they said that the doctor I saw was WRONG and that it will always cure it, they ran a mono test which went negative. STILL, I had chills, and was much more tired than usual, went back to the other doctor that ran a strep test again, which went negative. He told me the only thing I could get blood work for was thyroid, and did NOT think I had lyme because he said there was no such thing as "low lying lyme". Anyways, tried to let it go because I was NOT gaining weight and did not have a couple other symptoms. However, it just kept getting worse, and I was getting very annoyed and stressed out, so I went for the thyroid test... and you guessed it, it went NEGATIVE. HOWEVER, the one thing that did come back were slightly elevated LIVER ENZYMES. At this point I tried to give up on the idea, I really thought my MAJOR and I mean MAJOR anxiety that interferes with me everyday was causing it, after all, it gives me a headache a lot and you can sometimes get flu-like symptoms when you have bad anxiety. The chills went on, I got more and more tired, had ear pain on and off and a headache on and off. So I thought, my dog has been picking up lots of ticks and sometimes he sleeps on my bed so I thought, I should go for a lyme test. Now, of course we now have sprayed our yard but around 6-8 weeks ago when I started feeling sick he was getting ticks and that was when we got him (he was a new dog). So... lyme came back negative, and they are rerunning it for mono. I am tired of feeling tired, cold, having ear pain and just feeling icky, I have no fever by the way... can somebody please help and tell me if this is my anxiety or not. Please do not underestimate my sickness, because I honestly feel like I have a fever, but I don't. Thank you all. I wonder if the elevated liver enzymes showed hepatitis
