Ascites

I was wondering if any had experienced abdominal swelling w/ o it being ascites?MY he is hep 1997 treated twice,last time in 2014 with solvadi combo,svr obtained,labs have been abnormal but nothing extreme except bill during last treatment and it continues to go up at times,platelets hang around in the 50's now,this week admitted for severe diarrhea,Ct results was colonitis,second dybalbumin dropped,was given albumin and my inr was abnormal,started brusing everywhere.i was told they didn't see ascites,that was 1 st time in 4 yrs that it didn't show ascites,wondering if it could've been in hidden from colonitis,I know that's lower colon but my abdomen the next day was swelling to the point I looked 8 months pregnant,very tight and uncomfortable,I told the doc on call for my doc how it felt and it didn't seem to bother him at all,he went into the talk about esld and that I would feel a lot better after a transplant,also about how sick I was going to feel before and just more or less get use to it,then he discharged me the next day.i did have several bags of ivy fluid and didn't have hardly any output but that didn't seem to be a concern either,I've been home for 3 red day,my gut is still swollen,diarrhea was terrible last two days,today not so bad.anyway has anyone ever had them not see ascites or know what could help with this swelling,my legs are ok,I do take diuretics,they wouldn't give to me during admission,so I was without that for 5 days.Thanks for any advice

They told me it was 13,usually has been between 10-12,my inr was abnormal and my albumin level was too,I know it can bounce around sometimes usually when I get sick.The doc on call was young and was sure I could hit 15 anytime,which he said is when my liver doc would want to start my evaluation for being transplanted,he said even though they wouldn't put me on the transplant list until you were 25.I never been told this by my doctor and think he was really trying to impress us with his knowledge.my concern is how swollen and painful my gut is now,and how to fix it,if I can.I hoping I never have to go on a list and have tried real hard to do everything I'm supposed too.thank you for answering.i was thinking maybe all the fluid could have caused ascites,but my output is just the minimum even with taking the diuretics they have me on.

Went for follow up from hospital stay last week,still having problems with my abdomen swelling and pain,wt gain from last wed to today is 12 lbs,saw the nurse practioner today,my doc had a procedure to do this morning,the np feels like it is the ivy fluids I had and told me to double my diuretic until it goes back down,no labs done or anything else done.i told her I would see my liver doc 1/24 and she told me just send them a copy of results.

She said that they could wait on lab results I get drawn 1/24 from my liver Doc,if I notice any changes that I'm worried about I'll just call the liver Doc and he will probably have me come in.
