Well I gave myself my first shot this morning. It wasn't bad at all. That was the thing I was really worried about. It's about 5 hours later and I'm really cold, but that's it. I have now started the first day of the rest of my life (I hope). Hugs and well wishes to eveyone and thank you so much for your support and answering all my questions.

Congrats, Bever! The fear was worse than the actual thing, eh? Be sure to let us know how you are doing, any side effects, etc. You can beat this!

Thsi morning I woke up and had more energy than I have had in ages.

I took advantage of it and got tons done. Then I went out in the car this afternoon and I felt very dizzy and light headed. I have been feeling that way all evening. Is this a side effect?

id say thats a side affect,,one thing about during this treatment is,theres nothing wrong with doing things,but dont overdo,,,,ya might feel great but overworking can send ya into a bout of fatigue ,,,,moderation is the key i think,,,,good luck

I had burst of energy the first few times the next day too after the shot, and did a lot the next day then I was very tired, so take it easy. Just spread out the work....The dizziness I have off and on but that happened before the treatment and I was thinking that was one of the signs that something was wrong.......I've lost 17 lbs in 3months :)

beaver hi hows the shots going? iam starting treatment tonite. i see you started not to long ago your self.i hear the first couple weeks are the worst .was this true for you? hope your getting through ok.clily

Hi clily

How did the first shot go?  I'm coming up for shot #5 on Tuesday.  I feel alot better this week. The side effects seem to be subsiding. The sides now seem to be a red rash around the injections sights, sore mouth, but I got some presribed mouthwash and it seems to be helping. The big thing right now is my mood. It's like PMS. I cry at the littlest things, and I'm feelling very sorry for my self.  I also lose mmy temper quickly. Other than that, I feel not too bad. How are you doing?

 hi beaver,how are you doing? shot one went well but can,t say the same for shot two.i  hear you about crying.i,ll just start to cry for nothing.i think anxiety.i do best at nite when i,am not alone.i also seem to feel better at nite too.i have bed spins wheather i,am lying sitting or standing.its my biggest complaint oh and upset stomach..i too have site sores.have you gotten red bumps on your skin? i have lots.the doctors said its from the pills and to watch them.i,am going for lab work thrusday.how are your red and white blood  counts doing? i hope your doing ok. clily

I went up to my cottage for a week. I slept a lot.  I do not have the red bumps but I have heard of others getting them.  i DON'T KNOW HOW MY BLOOD WORK IS. THE LAB HAS SCREWED UP MANY TIMES. MY NURSE CALLED THEM AND THEY APOLOGIZED. SO, AT THE 6TH SHOT, I STILL DON'T KNOW. I AM SO TIRED ALL THE TIME I THINK I MIGHT BE ANEMIC. I ALSO FIND THAT I GET OUT OF BREATH QUICKLY, AND I HAVE BEEN GETTING PINS AND NEEDLES IN MY FINGERS. I'LL HAVE TO LET MY NURSE KNOW.  WHAT SHOT ARE YOU ON AND HOW IS IT GOING?
