Hi Everyone, I am starting this post for Trish and Rick. I just read in the July update that Rick is in very critical condition. Trish my prayers are with you and Rick. I know this is a difficult time for you! May the healing Power be with you and Rick! Trish take care of yourself as much as possible! We will all be here for you!

Rick and Trish, you are in my thoughts and prayers. It is difficult to find words to express my concern and sadness at hearing this. There but for the grace of God go I.

thank you all so much,,,,i can feel so much power coming through this pc,,,rick has open heart by pass on monday,,,they want him as strong as possible through this so he can handle it better,,,,,though as yall know theres always a chance he wont make it out,,,,,especially with the other problems hes at a much higher risk for problems to happen ,,,,its been an exhausting day so i am not postin much but know i appreciate every thought and every prayer yall say for us,,,,,we need them :HUGS:

Trish, Just know that the prayers are there. I know you are exhausted, I am speechless. I want you to know that Mark got the biggest hug today when I saw him! Take care of yourself, try to get some rest!

Hi Trish, I have not been around for a couple of weeks. I am saddened by the latest news. Good luck. I am praying for you and Rick. God bless and try to take care of yourself as well. Rick needs a well partner to help him after the op.

i just got off the phone from the hospital and know that rick is ok so i dont feel in as big of a hurry to get off the phone line......the prayers seem to be working,rick had another heart attack last night but the great icu nurses caught it before it got too bad and he is doin good this morning ,,,,,this is goin to be a very tense weekend as we wait for monday,,,,,,,i cried when i read the messages from everyone,,and it reminds me of how everything bad happens for good reason,,,,for without all the health issues with rick,id have never met such good hearted ppl here at healingwell,,,,,,with all the bad in the world,what a relief to know there are ppl out there like you all,,,,,,:hugs: ricks surgery is scheduled for 630 am monday morning,,,,so keep us in mind through that stressful day,,,,,thanks so much again for opening your hearts and keep the prayers a coming,,,,,,for they are as important as the medical attention hes getting,,,,,as for me,i finally slept a few hours last night,for the first time since tues,,,,,,,,id had about 5 hrs total sleep til last night,,,,,keep having nightmares and reliving the ER moments over and over again,,,,,,,,i think maybe all the wonderful thoughts may have overridden the bad dreams so i could sleep...i havent taken the time to read all the new posts and im goin to head to the hospital,,,,,,,just know i hope yall have a wonderful day and weekend and im sending you many hugs,,,,,

rick is heavily sedated tonight,to keep him calm so his heart will hold out for just one more day,i guess the drs weighed the risk of waiting,vs havin the surgery before hes strong enough to,,,,its in Gods hands and Im in alot better frame of mind for now,,,,,we had good long talks before they gave him meds to sleep. things will be as they should be.......keep the good thoughts coming please

well,surgery tomorrow,,,we are both pretty nervous,and yet we really believe things are gonna be ok,,,,,,i have to tell yall,,,,,this has been the strangest week,,,,,bad,yet some weird things have happened,,,,running into ppl,coincidences happening,,,,,and if i didnt know it before i know now,,,,that there are things working around us all the time,we just dont always feel it,,,powerful forces that draw ppl together at just the right time,just the right place,,,,,,i cant stay on long enough to tell about the experiences ive had this week,in case hospital calls or somethin,and im gonna attempt to rest(along with the help of nyquil),,,,take care all and ill post about the surgery as soon as i can,,,,,,:hugs:

God is good ,,,,,,,,Rick is being called miracle man at the hospital,,,,,,,triple bypass and ate a full meal at supper,,,,,,his heart is doin great,his spirit is up,his lungs are functioning almost to normal capacity,,,,,,,they have NEVER had an open heart patient do so good the same day as surgery,,,,,,,,thanks everyone for all the prayers,,,,,,i know that is what has carried us through,,,,,,,,,,thank God for all the good ppl in our lives,,,,,,i will rest tonight finally,knowing he is safe now,,,,again,thanks yall :)

That's wonderful news, Trish!  Thanks for letting us know.  Somehow I am not surprised that Rick did so well!  He had a lot of prayers working for him.

Trish, Hope all is going well with Rick. I saw some where that he had been discharged. I remember when I worked on a cardiac floor, in the early "nineties", our patients would be in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. Now it is such a short stay after such a major surgery like that! It is amazing, but good that they have advanced so well in just a few short years. My prayers and thoughts continue for you and Rick!

yeah hes been released,was released 3 days after surgery,,,,,,but im not so sure its a good thing,,,,they dont get as good of pain management at home,hes grouchy,in pain,and doesnt sleep hardly at all now,,,i know this is rough on him and its rough on me too,he yells alot,,,about anything he can find to complain about,,,his nature of course,but worse with the pain

Hi Trish, Wish there was something I could do for you! I know how hard it is to live with the grouchyness. I know pain management is not as easy at home! I do hope it gets better. Sounds like you are worn out, thats probaly an understatement!! I keep thinking about you and praying things will get better!!
