Hi hamilton, Welcome to the forum! My husband has cirrhosis and Hep C. His CT scans and MRI's always say, "suggestive of cirrhosis". The AST and ALT, are not enough to rule out cirrhosis. I am not saying your husband does have cirrhosis. I think he needs further evaluation of his condition, by a specialist. His anger outbreaks, fatigue, poor concentration, are indicators he is not well. My husband has all of those symptoms, along with edema that started in the lower legs and then turned into full blown ascites. He was in a coma in 2001, which was caused from the liver, then he was fine until November of last year. It really just hit him all at once. My husband does not like to talk about the Hep C either, so yours is not alone there. Has your husbands doctor treated him for Hep C?
There are other members here that can give you information also. So keep coming back.
