I found out I had it in 2001,,,I always

knew something was wrong with me for years

but it seemed no one would hear me---

I have a new Doc,,he is pretty good I think,

getting me healthy as possible,,the on to

the (treatment),.,.

Hi, Kit, and welcome to the forum! The first thing I would recommend is a hepatologist. If your new doc is primary care, have him refer you to one. Can you tell us a bit about yourself? I was diagnosed with hep C per biopsy in '93. I had been experiencing extreme fatigue for at least 2 years prior to that. The doc I had in '91 said my liver enzymes were a little elevated but "nothing to worry about." At that time, though, there was not even a test for hep C. That doctor transferred to a different office, and the doc I was assigned after him was wonderful. She sent me to a GI doc just as soon as the hep C test was positive.

WElcome Kit, I have been a Forum member for about 6 months. I have found the site very beneficial. I have Autoimmune hepatitis - not hep c. you will find the site a place where you can vent your feelings when you have the need - to ask for advice and to compare notes on your illness. Everyone here it so supportive and helpful. I just wish i had more time so I could post more regularly - and live in the same time zone so I could chat more often.
