is there anyone cured of this hepB...

Hey, I found out through a job physical for a healthcare facility that I have Hep C.  Shock!!!!  The doctor made me feel so small "needles, drugs, illicicit sex, multiple partners, report you to CDC" -- I stayed lit all weekend -- now 3 months later, I am awaiting results of the liver biopsy that was done on Friday --

I am hoping for a cure, I believe in Infinite Intelligence as some call God, have to trust the doctors to a certain point, but then again am notlooking forward to Peg Interferon treatment.  I just began nursing school -- before all of this was found out.

I am glad to finally have a chat room where I can vent, listen and learn all I can -- the doctors don't seem to have much time or atleast, my I can't get through.  All I talk to is his nurse, and that's after waiting forever on hold.

welcome pamelag,incaz,and hbv,,,glad you found this site,sorry it took so long for a reply for you all but I just started back to school last week after 21 yrs of being out of high school,so I had alot of reading to do and 2 papers to work on ,,,the cobwebs are starting to clear though and it feels great!
First of all,Im nto sure that there is anyone actually cleared of hep b,,,I think the viral load can be greatly reduced to prevent damage to your liver,but my understanding is that chronic hep b is not curable,,only controllable,,,,but then again modern medicine can be amazing so I wouldnt rule anything out!
As for people treating you as if you have the plague or something,,,,that is ignorance,,,people react to things that they dont understand by drawing ridiculous conclusions and showing fear,,,,dont be angry at them,they just need educated,:) though I do know its hard,,,,,,my son was very embarrassed at his school when he tried to give blood and the red cross nurse made a scene ,,,because he lives in a household with someone with hep b,(my husband),,,my son got on a role and told the nurse,,,,,,,,"I am immunized AND my blood has been checked to make sure I have antibodies," ,,seems he knew more then her on the hep situation ,,,,but it is true that they cant donate blood with a family member who has hep,,,,,,I didnt know that til after this situation and looked it up,,,,,,seems a bit farfetched to me,but I guess the rules are there to protect ppl,,,,,,,,the nurse just shouldnt have made such a scene in front of others,,,,,,,good luck with the biopsy pamelag,,,,take care all and I do hope you come back. this is a great forum for support
