As most of you know my husband was approved for the transplant list on January 23rd. Well last Thursday he had an appointment at the transplant hosiptal 1st with the surgin, then he had a abdominal CT scan, and then had an appoint with the hepatologist about
1 1/2 hour later. The doctor went over my husband's medical chart and found that on his second whole body bone scan it showed an abnormalcy in his right knee. So he has to get a CT scan on his knee tomorrow. Then the nurse asked about
his seizure activity. Which he has had none since early December. I got a bad feeling when we left there. Well on the way home we stopped to eat and while my husband was in the little boys room the nurse called me on my cell and asked me to call her the next day, that she needed to talk with me. I did. Well the abdominal ct scan showed that my husband's liver tumor has grown. And it probably too big for transplant eligibility and that they believe that there are more tumors also. I had to make an appointmentment with his cancer doctor and that's Tuesday. My husband has to have another chemoebulization. Which may reduce it but it will not do anything for any others that he may have. My biggest problem is how to tell him that they are probably going to take him back off the list. He knows about
the chemo. But I haven't told him about
the mutiple tumors or that his original one got bigger. I am afraid that if in fact they take him off the list that he will give up. We need a real miracle to get through this one. I have been a basket case since last Thursday. I guess our roller coaster ride isn't over yet. Thanks for listening
