I have been reading all the post, I am so glad that Donajean has share the wonderful news with you!!! I could not help but have tears reading them, what wonderful support you have given me!!! I know that I have not posted in quite sometime, we have had so many things happening.....But the best thing happen this past Friday! Mark is doing very well and looks about 10 years younger in just 3 days. He is at UAMS in Little Rock, he was transfered out of ICU to the transplant floor. He has been sitting up in the chair since yesterday, and he has been walking with physical theraphy today. He got to eat a hamburger and chocolate milkshake, his first bite of food in almost 4 days. We have been told he may very well be discharged home on Wednesday!!!! I just can't believe how quick he is recovering!!! He looks so good!

I would like to ask for your Prayers for the family of the donor. I know they need them and I just wish there was more that I could do to help them get through their pain of losing the one they love!

Teresa, we have all shed tears of joy for you both,,,,well im sure im not the only one at least,,,i am sooooooo happy for you both,,i cant wait to hear of the great life you two are about to begin,,,,,,take care

Ditto, Trish you weren't alone. Teresa everyone is so happy for you and your husband. And yes we will pray for the donor family as well. Enjoy your new life Teresa yeah Pink Grandma

Hi Teresa,

I am thrilled with your good news. Mark has made such a quick recovery. How very like you to think of the donor at this wonderful time in your life. you are right. It is such a sad time for them. I am trying hard to convince more and more people to register as donors.

Teresa,

I rejoice with you for Mark's new liver and his amazingly rapid recovery and pray for the family of the donor liver.

I too share tears of joy for you and tears of sadness that Pa is nearing the end of his fight. Forgive me for not calling you; my heart wanted to but I was wrapped up in the multitude of things I now must do. Hospice is here for up to three hours at a time and yesterday between the nurse and the Chaplain it was the entire afternoon.

Love you. You remain in my thoughts and prayers for continued healing and many milkshakes and hamburgers and ball games and loving and living life to it's fullest.

Teresa, how great to hear from you! We have all been rejoicing at Mark's quick recovery. I am sure he will be weak for some time, but some more burgers and milkshakes should take care of that.

Mark had a small set back yesterday, he has been having Atrial Fibrillation heart was running way to fast 130-160's, they transfered him to CCU and put him on a drip. Today they started the oral medications, and they are moving him back to the 7th floor. It may be possible for him to come home tomorrow or Friday. Connie he is not very weak, he is very energetic and they are trying to slow him down just a little bit! He really has surprised me with his energy!!! I am really amazed at the difference in him in just a few days. I hate to break the news to him but, no more chocolate milkshakes for awhile, his blood sugars are running in the 400-500's...probaly the new drugs. I am just so happy to see a healthier Mark!!! Mark and I are going to compose a letter to the donor family very soon, and let them know how much we treasure the Precious Gift of Life, we want them to know how much we appreciate them!!
