Hello everyone.  I sure hope someone can help.  I brought my husband to the ER on News Years Eve for dehydration.  While we were waiting to be admitted he started geting sever back pain between the shoulder blades.  To make a long story short he's still in horrible pain 24 hrs later.  He has been seen by just about every Dr. in this hospital and received a lot of pain meds that have not worked.  They just tried an MRI but he couldn't stay still.  I had a mini melt down and got Vanderbilt involved.  All the Dr's encluding Vanderbilt beleive at this point that it is not Liver related but they still can't give me any answers.  Does anyone have any idea.  Thank you JoAnn

Hello JoAnn, Sorry that your husband is in so much pain. What about his kidneys? Have they checked him for renal failure?. My husband starting getting backaches the last couple of months. I use to have to rub his back between his shoulder blades to give him relief. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you and your husband.

Hello Pink Grama  Yes that was the first thing they checked when he was admitted since I brought him in for dehydration   He made a total turn around about 3 AM and is doing much better.  I do know they are really hydrating him ALOT.  I was too tired to ask the Dr this morning any questions.  We had an awsome nurse last night and she helped me get him turned around.  I will fill you in on all the details as soon as I'm not so sleep deprived!  JoAnn

 I am happy your hubby is feeling better. It is so amazing to me how one day or one night can make such a difference. The human body is such an incredible machine isn't it? I hope you are rested now and taking care of yourself too. You know I preach all the time about caregivers neglecting themselves!!!! You have to take time out for you. When we are sleeping right, eating correctly, and doing nice things for ourselves we are actually better caregivers. Hugs.............
