Hello Everyone  Well, Jerry just got out of the hospital.  I took him to the ER on Sunday because he was just getting weaker and weaker.  Found out his blood was really low.  His HCT was 24.  They gave him 3 pints of blood then did a scope to see if they could figure out why.  It seems he has a tear in his esophegus.  Don't know why the Dr. said probably vomiting.  They are going to do another scope in two weeks t see if it has healed.  Poor guy has been through so much.  I am just tired its so hard to sleep in a chair.  I need to go to bed I will keep all of you posted.  Thanks for your prayers.

I am so sorry. At least they found out what had caused the blood loss. And him getting 3 pints of blood probably has made him feel a lot better. Get some rest....

JoAnn, so sorry for Jerry's latest setback.  Good that the reason was found, though, and that he is now home.  Mayo Hospital Jacksonville has pullout sofas in the patient rooms for family members that want to stay with their loved ones!  Thanks for keeping us posted!

Hi JoAnn,

You know how much each of us is hoping that Jerry will stabilize and that you can get some rest. Our thoughts and prayers are with you both. Please try to get some rest -- we know how much you do and care.

I am so relieved that they found that tear. I was very concerned hearing about his vomiting. Blood loss advances problems quickly. (Big relief sigh)

Everyone 

Thank you so much for your well wishes.  Today is a little better.  He ate breadfast and is moving around a little.  The Dr. has decided to keep him on the Neomysin for now.  He normally does 2 weeks off-2 weeks on.  This week is the off cycle but they put him back on in the hospt so I'm going to keep him on.  Not sure what that is going to do but there are several things I'm not sure of these days.  I got a good nights rest last night in my OWN bed.  That felt so good.  Poor Jerry was on his own because I don't think anything could wake me.  We're just hanging out today it really feels good.  I'm playing with my flowers which I love.  Thanks again and I will keep you posted.

JoAnn , I am so glad that you got some much need rest. And isn't playing in the dirt fun? I love gardening too.
