need to talk

hi, my mum got out of hospital on saturda, this time she was in for 2 weeks. she had a pain in her groin and they diagnosed a spine fracture, thankfully she is still able to walk. she now has osteoporosis, along with all the symptoms of esld and a  recent stroke. she is finding it hard to see and now has cattarcts in both eyes. she was extremely upset in hospital, she looked really well for a couple of days, and i thought she was getting better. for the last three days she has been really sick, she has not eaten and has pains in her stomach and back. she has that much medicine to take, that i am sure she just guesses. my heart feels so heavy as i write this,she has no qualitly of life, she has no energy. no one tells me what is to happen with her. i know i can see her withering away in front of me, but maybe it is not as bad as it looks. the anger has gone, i want to hold her in my arms and take away the pain. the hospitals only seem to deal with specific complaints not the whole picture.all i read about is scores, i have never heard anyone talk about scores. i am think she has done too much damage to her body to fight back. she cried a lot the last time cause she did not want to go to the hospital, then she cried to get out. i know phoning the doctors is a last resort for her but what else is there for her to do.

Allie, My thoughts and prayers are with you. I am so sorry that you have to watch your mother go through so much.

Allie, I'm so sorry you are having to go through this.  One thing that might be helpful is to get your mom a pill box that has all the days of the week.  Set up her pills for the week (I do mine on Sun.), so she will know what she is to take each day.

The scores you mentioned are probably MELD scores, for those awaiting liver transplants.
