PBS is premiering a new special tonight: POV: Critical Condition.

"Four critically ill Americans discover the problems being uninsured can cause, such as losing their jobs, health, home and savings."

Check your local public television stations for time.

This is a topic that many of us are familiar with, and others are just now facing.  I will come back and add to or edit the topic after I've viewed the show. 

This show is followed immediately by another:  Rx for Change.

"Issues explored in ``Critical Condition,'' and the healthcare platforms of the 2008 presidential candidates."

Looks like a PBS night for me!  smilewinkgrin

"Critical condition" was terrific!  I could certainly identify, as I'm sure a number of you can.  For those who missed it, but would like to see it...check out PBS's program guide.  They will be showing it again, I'm sure.

The follow-up half-hour program was not very thorough, but did briefly state each Presidential candidate's proprosals to heal the broken health care system.  From what was said, Obama seems to have a more thought-out, detailed plan.  Regardless of who wins the election, the health care reform bill will have to go through Congress and get hammered out.  It was truthfully stated that this is not something that's going to be done overnight--obviously.
