Hi, LuckyDog! Now I understand your screen name! You are one lucky dog, indeed. I also went through a lot medically in a short period of time--basically 7 major surgeries in less than 6 years. The last one was last May. I cleaned up my diet, also, and had been feeling much better. I am a 1a genotype and have been reluctant to try the combo, after all the bad experiences I've read about. I survived liver cancer, thanks to Mayo.
My worse symptom is overwhelming fatigue. I've also had some depression lately, due partly to cold weather and partly to a bad fall I had outside a little over a week ago, in which I really hurt myself. I will be 66 next month. My cardiologist put me on a walking program, which I haven't been able to do lately because of cold weather and then the fall.
I don't see my hepatologist until April 2nd, but at that time I will mention low-dose Naltrexone to her.
Again, welcome to the forum.
